New York New York is in trouble..the republicans have refused to bailout cities because they believe they are too liberal and there is no polical gain to,have them. Dotard may be thinking this is an opportunity  for property market to nose dive in poor neighborhoods for him to buy it back. The stock markets are irrational and behaving in forward looking way of expecting that this virus disruption will be minimal.

Most college towns in USA will collapse. In my hometown one the biggest universities had just skewed the property market so bad that billions had been poured in the last decade transforming a small town to a minicity now all properties are below 50 percent occupied. You cant hide from reality for ever.
Soon the reality will be undeniable

The landlords are crazy- they better talk of dead cities than lower rents. Given most businesses are virtual why not go back to your parents house and do your e-bay/amazon shit.

Bailouts are for banks and big boys who have lobbying clout not individual landlords.

Post COVID-19 the world economy may change - there is going to be a lot of work from home - eventually going to the office is probably going happen on 2 or 3 days a week permanently.

I hope we see a future where people work from home - from Friday till Monday -  with tues, wed and thursday only reserved for working from office - or even better to solve traffic mess - for people to work from office in different days.

There are certain constants in this universe. From the age of pyramids to the day the Americans beat the Russians in putting a man on the moon, humans looking to do the impossible have known the need to herd humans & material resources into a location. If you ever worked on a project in the US, you would be amazed at the size of the teams. Google or Microsoft provide endless teas and lunch on the campus where there are thousands if not hundreds of employees to keep employees focused on the job. We shall conquer Covid-19 and just like the Spanish flu of 1918 was overcome, we will be back to factory settings of folks working 5 or 6 days a week ofisini..

Since New Gingrich, Republicans' have been on a destruction path. THey want to destroy everything. If big cities suffer, farmers will be in the same boat because its big cities that buy their products.  Education goes down, rural universities towns will also go under. Trump and thugs don't think that way.
