Turkana, Samburu, Marsabit, Garissa, Tana River, Mandera and Wajir, all those counties need to invest in livestock feedlots. This is there ticket out of poverty. Those counties lose almost 25% of their livestock in dry periods. In addition the sell offload weight per livestock is 50% lower compared to Botswana and Namibia. This would increase productivity and hence income of the residents. This counties can be the richest counties in Kenya and become exporters of beef, mutton and lamb that's grass fed. Feedlots should be the priority not useless tarmacked roads.
