Impeachment idea of  @JamesMacharia_ was authored by  Tangatanga Supremo @WilliamsRuto, process set in motion by Jicho Pevu. MPS signed voluntarily after being commandeered by their General. On sensing  unpopularity of the idea in muranga @NdindiNyoro is now claiming ignorance

Nyoro praises Uhuru's performance

Transport and Infrastructure CS James Macharia has received support from his backyard against an outer attempt by Nyali MP.

A section of Murang’a leaders on Friday told off Mohamed Ali over his intentions to impeach CS Macharia, who hails from Murang'a.

The leaders said Ali's attempts have no basis and will not sail through.

MPs Sabina Chege (Murang'a County) Ndindi Nyoro (Kiharu) and Peter Kimari (Mathioya) said Macharia has been instrumental in the implementation of the Jubilee government’s legacy projects.

Ali on Friday gave a notice of motion to impeach Macharia, claiming he has not been conducting public participation and engaging stakeholders in the implementation of government projects.

Ali said the CS has violated the Constitution and that his actions have adversely affected his docket.

But the leaders said the impeachment bid has no foundation and vowed to floor it in the National Assembly.

Ndindi, on his part, said Macharia has ably represented the Kenyatta government and that his record can speak for itself.

“The CS is responsible for the implementation of railways and major road projects in the country. We will not allow anyone to start working against him,” he said.

The Kiharu legislator said Macharia works with all MPs regardless of their political affiliation as they all represent Kenyans.

He pointed out that even though he manages one of the largest dockets, he has never been incriminated in any graft incidence.

“Ali is my friend but I want to inform him that his background as a journalist does not warrant him to impeach such an efficient CS,” Ndindi added.

Local issues.Jicho Pevu is not Ruto. Jicho Pevu wants to be Mombasa governor and he knows what Macharia SGR has done there is unpopular.

Macharia has done a lot of roads in his area - and is popular on the ground.

Why would Ndindi oppose him?

After supporting Uhuru - you go back to the last line - and he is forgotten. Uhuru has is line-up - and he is nowhere. Even Matiangi nowadays is nowhere.

When playing opposition politics he is doing great.

But he has to play smart politics - for example impeaching Macharai from Muranga who is delivering roads there is bad politics.

Supporting Raila who is hated by Mt kenya is one ticket home - like Waiguru is assured of getting 8% in the next election if he stand for governorship. She has not done so bad compared to other Mt Kenya governors but her gallivanting behind Raila is responsible largely for her unpopularity and it perhaps fair that ODM at least save her the next 2yrs.

I always praise Uhuru work inroads. Even in Bomet - Uhuru is praised for rural roads. But overall he is a failure. Kibaki is praised on the economic front - but many thought Uhuru was better on the political front - until recently. We know Kibaki caused nearly 1M kenyans to fight each other and caused lots of rape,death and property destruction.  But we also know he recovered the economy from Moi mess.

These two years will define Uhuru legacy - he can hand over a stable country or send us back to civil war brink or an even a failed nation.

Ndindi Nyoro is defending Macharia because he is from Central period and it seems Macharia did the lobbying of Muranga politicians . An impeachment is not a small thing . Even the proceeding bring broadcast on national television can have major ramnifications.
And Macharia with an accountant background we have seen several times how he answers questions which need an engineering expertise .
And as you know with Uhuru is a specialist on using and dumping CS (remember precious Transport CS Kamau).Macharia has decided to go straight to the politicians to seek cover.
