yes, you showed a bull heading for slaughter house the knife. Uhuru has accomplished power grab with no resistance. No shots fired. he has consolidated his position and now he can negotiate anyway he wants without consulting anyone. God forbid if Raila died today.

The genius of it all is that he has done it with the acquiesce of the critical mass.  Even Kaleos are not enraged to the point that they are going to the streets.  This is very different as to when 2007 or 2017 elections were stolen, Kenyans spontaneously went to the streets. It has something to do with the fact that Ruto is not coming into this with clean hands and if he cannot get Kaleos to go to the streets, how does he expect kikuyus to bolt away from Ouru.  Do you really think that Kikuyus will abandon Ouru for Ruto?  Its like when it comes to Ruto, the tribal affinity to power that Gema has always been chastised about suddenly melts away.

He is basically is everything.

Frustrated Maraga crying to Wanjohi. Maraga should just give a notice to resign so that we can have a Wanjohi sanctioned CJ.

Kenyans need to fight back - he is going lame-duck. Power concedes nothing. We have depended on Raila and Kichwa mbaya too much to defend our democracy.

Pundit, you cheered him on the time he ignored court orders and created laws that were against the constituition and even when he use unorthodox methods like having policen condone parliament buildings. Now it is payback time and what was for you yesterday is being used against you today.
Next time remember always to side with the law and not your political favourite of the moment.

The only fight happening is online. Organied civil society is kaput.

Ruto had successfully vanquished the people he wants to fight for him. Kenyans think this is Ruto's battle and is too hard to convince them otherwise.

Unfortunately thats how it appears, i think Ruto over calculated and became impatient, Some people he vanquished would seriously help him now. But government wise he is done. Unless Kalenjins help him. But  dont rule out Ruto 2 years is a big time in politics by 2021 we will be talking different things.

Ruto has no appetite of sacrificing his new found wealth. He is done and it appears he is folding faster than even kalenjins expected. It is a wise thing to on a personal level. Ke politics is organized like a gang. When the gang orders for you head you know you days are numbered

You're expecting Ruto to behave like Raila but he is very tactical and strategic. Uhuru is the one who is frustrated. He has to cajole, force, intimidate and name it to get anything done. Ruto is playing easy. He knows he need to avoid Wanjohi for another year - any direct confrontation with Wanjohi - Wanjohi is the beneficiary.

Ruto if you think is sleeping at home - you are mistaken - he is doing meetings every day - and doing lots of underground work.

Politics is about winning hearts and minds. Wanjohi aggression is very obvious. The last I hear after poisoning people in Kiambu - they want to import Mungiki to rift valley to spark a inter-tribal war between Kalenjin and Kikuyus - so hopefully they can find a footing back in politics.

They have tried everything - mau forest - name it - to provoke and to try to decouple GEMA from Ruto but it's not working.

I think next is to ban Ruto from ever stepping foot in Central - and start chasing him like Raila?

Uhuru determination is to win GEMA back - he knows whatever plans he has - cannot function unless he get back GEMA respect as Muthamaki - not a WANJOHI.

If this was Raila - Uhuru would have succeeded. Ruto decoupled Kalenjin from ODM very easily by exploiting Mau evictions. Most Kalenjin were stuck with Raila - including 5 ministers and several ass ministers - and majority of folks who had been bitten by ODM bug. Decoupling was not easy but Raila helped all the way.

Next referendum...Ruto has said he will accept whatever they proposes...so no chance for a contest :) or Yes or NO :)

Tactical my foot.

What power grab? All I see is Ruto Tangatanga wishes that Raila should go back to custodian of democracy. Ruto and Kalenjin if they have a problem with new reality should do the hard work and not be usual freeloaders. Instead they will not even oppose BBI 8) Only way Raila would work with Ruto is if Ruto back him. He is not taking Tangatanga self- serving advice to squander his last chance before senility kicks in.

gout is right noone will lose sleep over the lynching of Mobutu. Kenyans know what is happening and don't care - because they are too tribalised and wizened to care for the shamelessly unprincipled. This Mobutu woes have nothing to do with them.

Leading from behind...very sad. Ruto cannot fight back he has no muscle left to fight back. The so called Wanjohi can call them to state house just to insult them for kicks and they would do nada...but it's all strategy folks nothing to see here

You have to choose the fights to engage in careful. Ruto has refused to engage in small battles and focused on the big wars. His big war is with Raila for now..who is the main threat for 2022.

Wanjohi  Kinyua Jameson wa Mashati (full names from facebook) is going to retire until he amends the constitution.

Moi did the same and it worked. There is really no point fighting someone who is racing against time to secure a legacy. Time will deal with Wanjohi. He has about exactly 700 days to retire.

Kenyatta Snr had not term limit. Uhuru has about 700 days and about 300 days to become irrelevant. So Ruto doesn't have to do much except wait...and try stay alive. Mid next year nobody will care about Wanjohi - not even Kibichos who will be running to counties to launch campaign.

Ruto only has to wait to go be in opposition if he makes it that far. Kalenjins will continue to lose big. You guys need to decentralize your politics and have more independent MPS. Looks like now every governor in south Rift valley is doing nothing just riding on Rutos shenanigans. You will suffer another 4 decades of being out of power. You are still drunk with power from Moi days
