This is perfect to see how addict is ready to let his people suffer/ we will see his true colors. Its ckear Raira wants referendum this year by force and we are to see how his fellow addict will react, hapa ndio Ruto needs to start play ball ikienda bunge and should Uhuru be against then Ruto needs throw weight behind baba.
The point is Uhuru will regret losing Ruto support. Raira will take advantage fully and bring motions that will make addict scratch his asshole seriously. Atajua pombe si supu.

I think he suspect Uhuru is playing him so has set these deadlines with Orengo for when the referendum need to happen. They know from 2021 it become dicey - can't have election and referendum so soon.

So first it was by June. Then Sept. Now it by Dec.

Well, now that he is on the driving seat, and Uhuru is weakened - he can push.  Raila has Uhuru where he wants - he just has to be smart about it.

Realistically if they release BBI 2.0 by end of June - then let say begin signature collection soon after - then they can get the 1m signatures say in 1-2 months. Then IEBC will have to verify. That could take 1-2 months. Then IEBC forward to county assemblies. That is 3 months. So already you see even the most optimistic estimates is already 9 months before it goes to both houses - give and take 1-2 months. And then goes back to IEBC - where they would have to organize for elections -  say 3-6 months. So you see realistic without any injunction from the judiciary this process requires about 1.5yrs.

And certainly with COVID-19 - it's of low priority - economic recovery and of course dealing with COVID-19 is top priority - so this year is basically not tenable.

Precisely thats what baba is doing without Ruto Uhuru is a lame duck. Uhuru lacks the intellect to beat raira, raira will easily out maneuver him. Uhuru will try to go back to ruto with party manenos thinking ruto is now cowered. But ruto still needs maintain his silence and let the buffon get hammered by baba. Thats when the alcohol will eveporate from his big head. Before 2022 Uhuru will have learnt bitter lessons.

It's hair-brained. It's an ego fight. Ruto had long accepted to let Uhuru do whatever he wants. But because Uhuru wants to demonstrate he is PORK - he has to take the war to Jubilee party for failing to love him - leaving him dependant on NASA. Now not only does he have to share power with NASA - he has to seriously consult before taking any action. Even the likes of Matiangi-Kibicho have found themselves powerless - because now Baba/Gideon/Kalonzo are the big boys - and considering they have the numbers in parliament - Uhuru MUST consult them.

The knife he has sharpened for Ruto - can be turned on him in parliament if he doesn't consult Baba.

It's like dumping your wife for sulking and bringing in the malaya from your local bar to live with so your wife can know you're the man of the house.
