Kenya police brutality need some addressing. But you also have to understand it's pretty rough.

I didn't see any police brutality in that clip...Even the media has to respect space in such a time like this.

There are so many videos circulating on police brutality yesterday at Likoni, Mombasa. It is for all to see. These police need psychological help. Why would one beat helpless women lying on the ground? These people do not have mothers, sisters or daughters? I have no understanding for it.

We always say the same thing after every episode of police brutality at universities and public demonstrations. The police are misused by the ruling class. Police still behaves like a colonial force. Until a ruling class to power that is truly answerable to the people, we can forget any police reforms.

Kenya police brutality need some addressing. But you also have to understand it's pretty rough.

The Indian also shares the kienyeji approach.

If you listen to the conversation, it's almost funny.

The guy sounds like he is on some sort of meth putting him at the ready for gratuitous violence.

The man is a journalist. He has the right to cover what is happening on the ground. Beating him will not solve any problem.

Police are social workers. They have no right to use violence on defenseless people. Look at the videos and see injured old women. Where is your sensitivity for the poor and vulnerable in Kenya?

They did the same to NASA supporters during elections and people justified it. See also Thika Rd Githurai today.

I meant the cop.  The journalist is cartoonishly servile.

That one bright journalist. In such a situation..total surrender is all you have. He got away lightly. It no fun for sadist cop kicking him. But if they provoke you - you give them them the excuse to unleash their demons on you.
