From 1990 to 2002 moi militias and state agents were responsible for a lot human rights abuses in Kenya. Moi would post young Kalenjin officers in then provincial administration to be terrorize Kenyans especially in opposition strongholds like central and Nyanza.

In Githunguri Moi posted a young DO from his tribe in Githunguri. This state officer abused power so much that he would order then police to arrest people at 5 PM. So as Githunguri residents would arrive from work in Nairobi their buses would be hijacked by police and they would be illegally detained in police station until they paid a bribe. If you didn't have money to bribe you would be detained for a week. Most of these crackdowns were done on a Friday so that those didnt bribe would be illegally detained over the weekend

Same tactic Uhuru is using to punish his opponents.

After saba saba 7th july demonstrations in Nairoibi. Moi regime sent goons to Githunguri and for a week. They terrorized residents going home to home arresting people, raping women and damaging property. It was my first time to hear gunshots as people rioted against these crackdowns and palamilitary police was unleashed on them.

This terror is what makes it unpalatable to honor moi or anyone associated with his regime.

Kalonzo, Mudavadi, Raila, Uhuru, Ruto and most of the current political leadership when Kenyans needed someone to rescue them you betrayed them and stood by the dictator as he raped, pillaged, and killed Kenyans. You can celebrate your god father but please spare us the agony of having to remember the terror this goon visited on us. He was cruel man that couldn't even love the mother of his kids.

Stop lying. Githunguri DO that was terrorizing people is none other than Nyeri MP brother of late Gov Gachangua (a staunch Ruto supporter--once a PA of Uhuru). Kalenjin are naturally not harsh people unless in a war mode; The Opiyos and the Oyugis were the bad news.

I concur with Pundit, Kales are not cruel unless provoked. So many tribes peacefully live in Kalenjin land; Eldoret imejaa wakikuyu. You never see the reverse. Asal folks are fierce in clashes but in peace they are sweet in disposition.

Aterere on the other hand and other Bantus develop a power trip when given utawala, inferiority complex perhaps ?. They don't even share anything basically 100% of posts in serikali  go to their tribe. They have no concept of honor.

Jomo Kenyatta was a thousand times worse than Moi.

He basically made whole tribes in Kenya landless and squatters in their own homeland.

Moi was basically cutting central folks to their rightful size.

Aliwapa adhabu kali. They developed a big ego from plundering Kenya.

I expect Ruto to thrash them when he inevitably assumes power.
