It's funny you say changing katiba is no joke. And so how do you hold elections in Kenya without PORK say-so? He could not wrestle UDM from a mere nobody like Matty ole Kamwaro. Unlike 2012 when he was emerging as kingmaker - he is going for PORK now with the incumbent against him - Ruto need to build a party first. No small fete. Kibra showed demo'd how mean and ruthless the machinery can be. Where Didimus Barasa got manhandled by Arati Simba with impunity.

Of course katiba can be changed. It was overhauled in the 60s - 360° - parliamentary to imperial, federal to central, senate upper house to monocameral. It is only being tweaked back to tried & tested parliamentary. Beauty is only Kikuyu and Kalenjin are opposed. Scratc that - only some Kikuyu and Kalenjin are opposed. Merus and Pokots couldn't be bothered. Non-GEMA of course are lined up and ready. Ruto Kalenjin-Kikuyu 1963- to- 2080 is DOA.

Give BBI 2.0 a singular year with Uhuru machinery and Raila legwork.

No,  Pundit, you are out of your depth. MOAS is a leaky abstraction that has expired. It old and stale - nay, it dogmatic - as Ndii economics. Try something new :)

Pundit if you ever managed two ideas you would tip over. You're stuck at tribe n clan piechart. In Kibra at least you attempted the Ruto "genius move" of imposing a nondescript  footballer. MOAS hio ni analog.

Professor Pundit who discovered Jamaica. Recently you claimed to "invent" non-GEMA. That comical Vasco da Gama stuff sailing on dug out canoe to "discover" Africa. 😀

Anyway like I said you're a marksman - you shoot pumpkins. I'm the sniper. Ati you were called "Computer" in high school... I feel everything: space, the air, the vibrations, the people, the gravity. I can feel the rotation of the Earth. The heat leaving my body. The blood in my veins. I can feel my brain, the deepest parts of my memory. The pain in my mouth when I had the braces. I can remember the feeling of Mom's hand on my forehead when I ran a fever. I recall stroking the cat she was so soft. A Siamese with blue eyes and a broken tail. I was barely a year old. I remember the taste of baby milk in my mouth. The thousand kisses that I can still feel on my face. Now what is a mere math genius like you?

Your dismal capacity can't see beyond MOAS. That imaginary 40% Luhya in Kibra. :) Now you can't see how Uhuru can act against interests of a few Kikuyu rigged in by Ruto. Raila has the numbers and Uhuru has the machinery. Donge? Your entitled Kikuyus are useless afterall. Once the new reality of parliamentary is unveiled they will just have to pick between their prince and the alien from RV. Good luck.

I am more concerned with the Big Picture. As always time is greatest arbiter. You lost the big one in BBI - and now you've turned your disappointment & frustration to me? Crazy, I am not a politician. The next big picture event is Jubilee party elections. Me think BBI has already drank enough water - it can only sink at this point.

The key thing time has settled is Uhurutopia. With many tiny things like Kibra. BBI jury is out - am not sure why I should be frustrated. Wahome is Ruto flowergirl not ODM and she's crying for Uhuru attention.

Ok let's see how Jubilee election goes. Not promising so far I gotta tell you.

Guess am upbeat over this Njumbiree Vipindiree fresh release. Pundit you are a real optimist to expect a smooth sailing. Look at the Ruto party track record.

First he stab Chesire in the back to nail Eldoret North. Next he break up Kanu trying to shortchange Raila and Saitoti. He then played Mutula Kilonzo Snr to land Kanu Sec Gen which was a coffin for the party skeleton. Followed by UDM mayhem where he attempted to brazenly evict the entire party lineup. Next he pull mlolongo in PORK backyard. Now the brat is crying treachery :o

William Ruto is no democrat. It either his way or the highway. No prizes for guessing how this latest episode unfolds.

You're learning politics.WSR started with Y2K in 92 and make some money before it was disbanded for becoming a little too powerful.5yrs later he contest Eldoret North against two giants Chesire & Saina..and wins as 30yr old.He joined up with former Y2K and tries to push reforms in kanu and when that he fails he join kirwa & other opposition mps to form UDM in 1999.Moi eventually taps him and is made Ass Min for Home Affairs. With help of blue eyed boys Gideon & Uhuru they pushed out Biwott & Saitoti.Raila was never really part of the big plans..so Uhuru is to be PORK with Giddy as VP and Ruto the power behind.Their youthful exhuberance are crashed by Raila and Kibaki.Narc wins and fall out almost immediately giving Ruto a chance. He quickly takes over as Sec Gen from being Party Director of election (where Ruto learn how to rig party primaries) and start working with Raila.Part ways with Uhuru.ODM is formed.2007 happened and ODM fallout start because Raila didn't appreciate Ruto role.Ruto tries to fish out his UDM ( formed with kirwa in 1999) but Gen Koech get bought by Raila so register URP and the rest is history.URP merges with TNA to form Jubilee

Robina you're neophyte politically speaking which why you think technicalities matters they don't..parties, positions, those are nothing...real reliable political support matters.A party can be formed today and it wins elections tomorrow. What matters is having popular support

Point is your boy never won a legitimate contest just plain ukora. Backstabbing, mlolongo, bribery, etc. He has also never fought the status quo ever - not successfully - he rode Moi (02), Raila (07), Kibaki (12) coattails. Now he is faced with his own battle and he is finding it much harder than insulting Raila. Why can't he just forcefully demand things from PORK like he wanted Raila to do with Kibaki under NARA? Instead Matiang'i get his job and he is treated worse than Kibaki treated Raila. Let's see how Jubilee election goes... it easy to hurl insults than act. Uhuru is rehashing Jomo-Moi iron tactics.

Kibra is a good dry run of his "popular support" - aka ukora :) - vs the machinery. He came up short. There is no Kibaki to shield him or ICC to blame - he must face the mean machine.

Kibra where Raila had to unleash violence is hardly a yardstick otherwise odm has lost nearly all the other by elections.

Which by election has Jubilee specifically Tanga Tanga won? Baringo South his bedroom. Wajir he bought out TWO Raila men - the appellant then the contender. In fact Wajir was a testament of ODM popularity - how do you bribe two guys from the same party if you are so popular? Ugenya of course was ODM affair where everyone worship Raila while mention of Ruto is blasphemy. Emba South Ruto "win" through Wiper.  :)

Kibra is where he squarely faced the machinery. He could not run to court despite the hostile environment cause he openly indulged in voter bribery. If it was a proper clean match - no bribes, no goons - Raila would still beat Ruto hands down. I mean look at the lineup of top honchos on Raila team - mobiliser per excellence. Ruto had mere Duale and Barasa or KJ pawns. Kalonzo his new catch supported 3 candidates :D - first he unveil CMB Prezzo, then he endorse FORD K Butichi, then last-minute he back Mariga. Now the joke is back in Uhuru corner. What is Ruto plan in Ukambani again? :)

Sorry I don't see any popular support for Ruto. Je crois que non. The reality is that without the machinery bribes and handouts will not help him.

Pundit if Ruto had Sonko and Sakaja in his corner he could easily have swing Kibra. By himself he has no "popular support" outside RV and Kikuyu youth. Babu is still better at it. Sonko of course is the real hustler with cross-ethnic slum appeal. But sadly Uhuru big rungu - MACHINERY - silence Sonko and leave your boy exposed.

You're so desperate you think kibra slum that has been under Raila is harbinger of good things for ODM.Ruto has excelled because he is not afraid to try and fail.Ruto got one foot into Nairobi and kibra.Ruto tried Langata and failed before succeeding. Why would Ruto depend on Sonko or Sakaja this soon when he can build his own slum network for the future.Ruto remember went NO in 2010 and lost but those who were a little intelligent than you know he won by demonstrating he could nick 30% of national vote independently.Mama ngina and Uhuru had no problem cutting him a big cheque and 50% of gov.Kibra is big Ruto win because Raila had to pull all stops in a const he has represented..it's like odm giving Ruto a scare in Eldoret North.Obviously expecting objectivity from Robina is like milking a tree.Ruto unlike the rest can sleep and defend Jubilee zones..that had 55% of vote in 2017 but he chooses to take war to Raila & ODM zones..that is the Hallmark of a Smart Politician. Now all your hopes are hinged on Uhuru. When Uhuru says Ruto Tosha what is your plan B as odm.....

Lol. So cosmopolitan Kibra is the same as Eldoret North with 90% Kalenjin. So much for objectivity. What Kibra really showed is that Ruto cannot beat the machinery. And that Uhurutopia is a pipedream. It also confirmed Mdvd and Weta are dead wood. Politics is perception and that is why Ruto and his minions mourned the loss for an entire fortnight. The smart unbeatable facade broke.

Kibra was a blunder.

What did Ruto lose in Kibra. He had two options - allow Tuju to give ODM a no-contest or give it a shot. He gave it a shot - and got Raila & ODM brigade so scared - they pulled all stops including violence - and that was just rehearsal.

Ruto wants to play Nairobi politics. He is doing well so far.

For first time Kibra had a real political battle - and Raila impregnable wall of violence & intimidation in the slum was nearly shattered.

The same way Langata was taken from Raila - Kibra will go.

Lol. So cosmopolitan Kibra is the same as Eldoret North with 90% Kalenjin. So much for objectivity. What Kibra really showed is that Ruto cannot beat the machinery. Those are nice wishes Bwana Pundit. Generali sneaked thru NASA divisions. Broken Jubilee cannot deliver Lang'ata, Kibra or the larger Nairobi. Take the lesson - hubris is a bad thing. Ati you won by losing smh.
