Bado mambo. Over one year to go and with Trump setting himself obstacles every day it is just too early to make such a prediction.

The Dotard is rather shrewd and strategic. He has already muddied the waters for Biden and Warren. With the Hunter Biden controversy and the "Pocahontas" slur. For a fumbler he works the crowds quite fluently and a reassuring calm. I don't agree with his views on anything but a spade is a spade. Few outside DC care about the fate of the Kurds and he knows it.

I didn't see him say anything.  The clip is like .0-something seconds.  Either way it would be a novel thing, just to see a Republican healthcare plan of any type.  Did he promise the most beautiful healthcare system  :D ?

America's fundamental problem with ridiculous and increasingly useless healthcare costs is the idea of health as merely another commodity for sale.  Most industrialized countries have long since solved this problem one way or another.

Trump is so done, you can pork him with a folk.  He will get his 35% but that's it.  There are certain tricks you can only pull once.

Amen to that. My horse is Pocahontas. US is a ridicule of the ultra rich and the homeless. With no brazen corruption. It's runaway capitalism. We need a Warren or Sanders with tough love for the rich: Pay up. If you offshore to China you forego the market as well.

Trump was not supposed to win in primaries he won.He was not to beat Hillary. He did.He was not going to last a few months...he is standing for 2020 re-election having delivered strong economic growth with record low unemployment, built the wall, done away with climate change deals, China deals, Iran deals, obamacare and basically delivered all  manifesto which  on face value appeared ridiculous ideas.Nobody beat him in 2020.Donald is a gifted politician who all along pretended to be a businessman.Nobody beating Donald...thank goodness for term limits... otherwise that is how countries get a life president

Gallup says 52% want him impeached and removed.  Biden is the best bet.  I see Warren making VP.  But any of the top Democrats should get the deal done.

Pundit, do you live in Mars?
Trump has not even built 1 km of his wall to Mexico.
He has no trade deal with China.
He has no deal with Iran and has not been able to break the Mullah regime in Iran.
Obamacare still exists today with more members than the time Trump took over from Obama.
As of the economy, it was already booming the time Obama left. Trump had to do nothing but just sit back and watch things take their natural corse.

Trump is a cunning fox. A radical like Warren or Sanders can take him down. Biden is a moderate similar to Clinton who was beaten hands down.

Those two are too far left I think.  I am working on the assumption that Biden wins Pennsylvania and one or more of Michigan, Wisconsin, and Ohio.  While Trump won, the Electoral College belies the kind of a squeaker it was and also how historically unpopular both candidates were.

Trump won by appealing to deplorables who otherwise don't turn up. A socialist like Warren - with a sack of freebies - would equally attract the fringe - students, progressives, independents, etc - who are repelled by mainstream politics. Hillary was a boring business-as-usual veteran that ensured low liberal turnout. There are lots of climate-loving, Green Party backers and tree-hugging hippies out there. Look at Germany or the UK. Assume GOP is the Tories. Democrats are Labor. Brexit Party and Lib Dems are the outliers attracted to radicals. In a duopoly these folks are disillusioned and need crazy ideas to excite them.

bitmask: see how AOC and the Squad have endorsed Sanders and ignored Biden. The Squad are radical progressives. I bet Ayanna Pressley will endorse Warren.

Yes, he appealed to those types to turn out.  But even then, he only barely managed to win, aided by Hillary's unpopularity.  That approach can only work for Republicans because they can be tribal.  While Democrats have a bigger pool to work with, it's a less tribal and more diverse mix.  So they cannot push one extreme issue like Republicans.

The liberal "tribes" are inequality, student debt, medical bills, climate change, etc. Sanders is a brazen socialist preaching 60% taxes. Warren wants a 30 trillion dollar free medical scheme and entitlements bonanza. Biden is Hillary's twin who will nail the battle and lose the war.

Bernie is an old dog who should step down for Warren. After he drops off his crowd will flock to Warren. Warren can beat Biden and take on Trump without suppressing turnout like Hillary. I hope the DNC learned the lesson not to bungle the primaries by favoring the mainstream candidate. Rigging in Biden is the surest path to defeat in the general elections.

Warren at the top of the ticket will not attract enough independents though.  It's easier to get the various tribes to settle for the lesser evil and just show up for Biden.
