Kenyatta, Moi and Odinga family criminals Enterprise

Someone told me on twitter that Kenyans are not outraged by the corruption. They are outraged by who is getting the bulk of the money from corruption. And I agree.

Ruto has done nothing that the Kenyattas are not doing. Land grabbing, using the government to accumilate private wealth, is standard Kenyatta practice. The Kenyatta are in health, construction and milk business, to name a few, and calling it sijui Big 4. And while you get annoyed at the bundles of cash Ruto gives to churches on Sundays, the Kenyattas use media, tribe and the ideology of Kikuyu supremacy to sanitize their ill-gotten wealth. They do Beyond Zero marathons. They get none other than the Daily Nation to write that the Kenyatta wealth comes from the stability of the family offered by Mama Ngina. It's total bs, but I don't see us protesting against that.

So why are we so bothered about Ruto and not by them? Simple, Ruto isn't Kikuyu. He's not an honorary white who is entitled by birth to steal from us. He's not blue blood. He's not a feudal Lord. This anger at Ruto is so tribalist, and is driven, funnily enough, by people from all over the country, not just from Central. We are all very wrapped up in the Uthamakistan logic, because it's our version of white supremacy, and we Kenyans do love us some white folk. All GoK talks about is white folk. Investors and tourists, Brand Kenya, benchmarking, best practices - all that is language for saying that we Kenyans want to be like white folk.

Second, we are not bothered about corruption because we are not bothered about privatization of social services. Ask yourself: if the government is withdrawing from education, health and other social services, where is your money going? Truth be told, you - especially educated Kenyans - don't care. You like the idea of competing for fewer spaces in schools or going to private hospitals on NHIF or raising money to go to India, because it makes you look posh. Use public services, with raia? You couldn't be caught dead. It spoils your brand. And that's the uthamakism I'm talking about.

But the reality is that as GoK withdraws from building schools and hospitals, and from paying medics and teachers, the money they save goes to their pockets. I've explained how it works many times, but it doesn't annoy you. With all your education, you want to be told a simplistic, direct Ruto-type story: money was set aside for dams, the money went to towels and curtains and the dams are nowhere to be seen. That's simple enough for you. But we tell you that the Beyond Zero marathon is pure theft from the public, or that the 2-6-6-3 system is bs, and the plan is to rent out public schools and diseducate the poor? Nah, that's too complicated. You can't break a nail or miss your massage at the kinyozi over that. It spoils your brand.

Corruption is not a contradiction to capitalism and neoliberalism; it is a necessary result. Because when you call young people stupid and criminal, when you refuse to educate them and when you justify shooting them dead, you are essentially telling the government that you don't care where your taxes go. When it doesn't bother you what 2-6-6-3 does to the poor, or that Kenya Vision 2030 and the new Sessional Paper on education will privatize education, you're saying you don't mind corruption. If taxes are not used to boost people, to treat them when they are sick and to educate them, then there's nothing else left for your taxes to do other than to build palaces and buy towels and curtains.

So I'm not boarding this wave of complaining about corruption about the dams. I'm sticking to my story: we should not have to pay money out of pocket for healthcare or for education, up to university level. As our young people have said, the money lost in those dams can write off the HELB debt for all graduates 3 times, a debt no one should have in the first place. But almost nobody wants to talk about how going to university has been turned into handcuffs. If we insist on schools, hospitals, public land and services, and make politicians suffer politically when it doesn't happen, there would probably be less to steal. But since using public services doesn't work well with your brand, expect to continue singing about corruption. Because there's more corruption to come.
 Enjoy.

This is an open secret in Kenya about the Kenyatta family. The family has made a tenfold of what it had in 2013. Ruto is just a good scholar of the Kenyatta and Moi system.

When they killed the ruaraka probe that touched matiangi - I knew the corruption war was just the usual - sacrificial lambs - to be blamed for heavy borrowing.

Just ask yourself why Haji and Kinoti have not dared approach mAfya House or Transport ministry? Those are under the Mt Kenya cronies and the looting there is business as usual. These theartics are just power games as to whom will be allowed to loot state coffers after 2022. Uhuru's cronies are sensing their days coming to an end and Ruto's cronies are sensing their glory days are round the corner.

It's driven from Harambee house for sure - which is why EACC which is legally mandated to fight the war - has been sidelined and Kinoti-Haji-Kamweru(NIS) are on the frontal - supported by OP's PS and now Matiangi. I am happy of course this will reduce graft. Free for all corruption is never good. I am sure the politicians will sort themselves including my man WSR.I am sure at some point - WSR thugs will be naming Uhuru thugs - and kenya will be the better - dispenasable thugs from both sides will be offered as sacrifical lambs to gods  of anti-graft.

Deep State ni gani tena hiyo. I think Ruto is pretty much aware of all the innards of state and it's power having been inducted to it by Moi in his 20s...clearly after 30yrs where he has grown to become DPORK - now fourth longest serving - after Saitoti,Moi and Kibaki..and has made enormous wealth..surely you don't think he is naive :) like you man Raila - who was crying like a small boy after Kibaki took him in circles.

Once again - I keep telling you - watch the son of a gun - nick the president at prime age under 55 - from the jaws of Mt Kenya. Something no Odinga has come close.

Deep state here are just power brokers who are angling to edge Ruto so they can steal before Uhuru goes home.

It sucks that the fight against corruption is used to settle scores.  Which ironically proves that EACC is not necessary to fight corruption.  It also means there is no end in sight to because the corruption has become just another tool for politics.

Kinoti and those silly fuckers think we are stupido.....how does Uhuru wake up in Gatundu, drive himself to statehouse, meet Italy PM, sign a contract worth billions of shilling without going through feasibility study ( remember non exist) then follow up with a visit to Italy to make sure money is released, then money is wired to their family bank, billions are withdrawn in dollars in one day but in all this fuckery Uhuru does not know a damn thing....does not visit the location where the dams are supposed to be built or check on progress but is quick to go to Italy to collect the money............total dereliction of duty, criminal intent...Uhuru should just resign

Elections are stolen but once you steal the elections and place yourself as commander in Thief you better govern. You cannot act as commander in handshake but when it comes to corruption you start pointing fingers. We need to know where were you when Wanjiku money was stolen and who stole the money even if its your mother...

There is no debate the war on corruption and lifestyle audit are just meant to check Ruto. So long as the contest is Raila vs Ruto it's a no-brainer who is dirtier and it's self-defeating to lump the Odingas with the Mois and Kenyattas. You need other points if you're a Ruto supporter, not comparing corruption or integrity. As a Kenyan any thieves getting nailed for any reason is good news.

All I see is that Raila has overthrown Ruto and is the de facto DPORK while Ruto is de facto kiongozi wa upinzani. :) Uhuru is hounding and firing Ruto boys - Echesa, Chelugui, Rotich - while rewarding NASA - Wavinya, Kalembe, ole Nkedianye, etc. Expect more of this as the Boinetts retire or heads roll from the phony war on corruption. We'll see how the Magogha confirmation goes. Ruto pulled a mlolongo to control Jubilee... Raila pulled Handshake to break Jubilee. Ruto's URP rebels are not enough to upstage GoK as we have seen a few times - fuel levy bill, etc - as they are outnumbered by NASA. Uhuru elevated Matiang'i - robbing Ruto of projects and increasingly cashflow (loot) to campaign.

Ruto is in a tight corner. He does not have the incumbency advantage which has been robbed by Raila. If he attacks Uhuru he alienates GEMA. He threatens GEMA diaspora, same effect. It's like a fight with the hands tied to his back. With the corruption skunk firmly on his back Ruto cannot afford to alienate GEMA. Moses Kuria, Kimani Ichung'wa or Muthomi Njuki are not different from Sirma, Magerer or Kosgey who supported Raila for goodies but delivered nothing in the end. 2010 Referendum was the big stroke that broke Raila's grip on Kalenjin. I think the expected Building Bridges referendum if it happens will be a very tight rope walk for Ruto. If he leads No against Uhuru, he completely loses GEMA for which Raila is salivating like a hyena. Seems Raila is ready to be hybrid or ceremonial PORK or maybe he's playing Uhuru for a fool.

Any way, Raila has gained big while Ruto is the biggest loser.

My tone has always been the same. I knew from the beginning Uhuru is a clueless fellow. His regime was always destined to fail as he never grasped the task he had in his hands since he has never done anything serious in his life.

Robina you're back! Raila is still dead; And if it ever come to Raila v Ruto; Ruto wins it everyday; I think what we are still grappling with what does Uhuru wants? Does he just want a some "success" to retire with - or does he want to continue to be a key player. Once we figured out that - it will be easy - if he wants a retire with some "love" - then Ruto has nothing to worry - if he wants to continue - then he'll probably find some utility in Raila.

The people fighting Ruto are a small faction of technocrats - who want to edge Ruto so they can eat  - before Uhuru resigns. They know Ruto has been eating everything that Kenyattas was not interested  - and they probably are nearly succeeding in edging Ruto from the eating table.

Their biggest headache is convincing Uhuru to take the risky move of extending his rule. Uhuru is lazy and all that - but he aint a fool to fall for such schemes.

The guys fighting Ruto are not politicians - and that is their biggest handicap. They are the usual overblown civil servants who will be fired when things get hot.

Ruto had the lead before the Handshake but Raila has played really well since.

On Uhuru you could be right but I doubt it. The technocrats - Kinyua? Kibicho? - are not influential enough to direct Uhuru to mess with Ruto like he has been doing since the Handshake. His actions are resolute and don't look like indecision. Uhuru and his cronies want to continue ruling and eating and don't trust Ruto or Raila to share power. Ruto knows this plan and must thwart it while contending with the Raila wedge. This is the real game in the offing. So long as the Ruto-Raila rivalry and mistrust is so deep Uhuru will have easy leverage.

Uhuru is playing his cards close to the chest. Once we figure out his game plan we will know for sure. He still with Ruto and still doing 50-50 in all appointment with few crumbs of bread going opposition which is expected considering they are giving uhuru national support.

My bet is Uhuru will do the rational thing. He will "retire" from pork, pick Ruto deputy and continue as Jubilee leader. Murather-Raila idea is too toxic - for Uhuru to lose everything for PMship in Raila gov is the height of desperation. Uhuru has never been that desperate. In fact he is reluctant PORK who is thrust into this because he is a Kenyatta scion.

The guys fighting Ruto are not politicians - and that is their biggest handicap. They are the usual overblown civil servants who will be fired when things get hot.
