Oh God I love it in Seoul
« on: September 11, 2018, 04:55:24 PM »
I feared this. I'm having such a great time. Can't believe how boring my life is back home. People think I'm Korean here. I speak so well. The food is amazing and so varied and compatible with my diet. It's just so fun, so much culture and life, so much to shop for, so much to do.

My cousin's wedding was a Republican affair. Conservative and rich. They both look like models. Found out my cousin barely 30 is the VP of an oil giant. Her man tall & goodlooking, an MIT graduate from Boston and they have two homes in Seoul and the Silicon Valley. They are both so lovely and intimidating. They both look like they stepped out of a magazine, filthy rich and smart. The wedding was extravagant in the millions with who's who celebs and politicians. I'll post some snaps laters....

Erm... hard for me to chat to someone because of security concerns I might be kidnapped? I'm wearing a ring the cost of my mortgage - a gift from my cousin. I'm just so scared of losing it when I get back home... I'm relieved to return back to normalcy.

Thanks :-)

I just googled 'crazy rich asians' never heard of super rich Singaporeans.

There's a heirarchy in Korean society dating back to hundreds of years. It's old money cliques, bloodline, politics, tradition, psychopaths, not normal by today's standards. Korea is definitely a broken society. There's no middle class. There was a homeless guy with no legs crawling on the ground and that hit me hard. I tried to give him some money but mum stopped me and whispered there are gangsters watching you, leave him. The story was this guy owed some money. So many stories of organ harvesting, murders, poverty. The girls here are pencil thin. I couldn't even buy any clothes because of my size. I'm a size 10 but the largest is size 8 and size 4 is average. Anti-western sentiments are strife.
