Musk must be embarrassed by this... he made a 'kid submarine' for the rescue  :o

Yup.  A sub to do the work of a wet suit and face mask.  Hopefully he has seen some future opportunities and will come up with a gadget that makes this type of rescue routine.

I think it's just for publicity... Trump-style. So long as he's in the headlines that's an achievement.

But why was he lying and updating everyone on ever yawn he pulled including jumping ahead?

Maybe.  But he is a non-malevolent narcissist who sometimes gets pushes boundaries with great results.  Difficult to say the same for Trump.

Musk is a liberal. That's the decisive difference for the mighty - the political leaning. Rare to spot a benevolent Rethug and vice versa.

He is a narcissist. He is addicted to attention. These type of people are troubled rot. We had a guy like that he would show up at a party and if he was not acknowledged he would do something outrageous. Many times he would arrive in his Mercedes or range Rover and would park outside the party and blast his stereo so that he would be noticed. He got exploited by people because of this weakness till he went bankrupt. He is now in exile in kwiinya running from creditors and other obligations. It is a dog life for this kind..I suspect Donald kirporir and Chris kirubi suffer from narcissism. One thing you  will notice with this kind of people they have no need of protecting their kids or family ..they treat everyone as a tool to quench their need for attention.

Their kids are bitter and loath them for being selfish

These are situations where innovation can happen.  Not for the immediate moment but for future unforeseen events.  Maybe even on an underice ocean on a Jovian or Saturnian moon.  We need more nuts like Elon and fewer like Trump.

Global and your analogies. Funny how none of your narcissist friends are popular. Elon Musk really protects his kids from the media and works on demonstrable solutions like EVs and rockets, not voodoo. The fan pages are started and run by fans. Is it really that abhorrent to offer a solution when everyone else just sits transfixed? In what world is hard work and innovation deplored? only in Global's mediocre world!

Global instead of following an incompetent coward like Uhuru I highly recommend Elon Musk to you.

Narcissist have tons of fans. Most people want these kind of "motivation". I actually never heard ofelon mursik. I just saw people in Reddit making fun of his devottee. People who seek power are usually evil. Uhuru is an evil baby doc reincarnate. See what he did to musando And all those NASA protestors he had killed. Ruto is even worse. I got approached to sponsor a third way party before the turkana took it. I offered my little help but on basis it was not going to benefit me.

Anyway eldoret n muthiki is an entertainer in Chief. He will become a politician eventually

Global Elon is often mentioned as a potential Dem POTUS candidate although he's not US-born and is thus unqualified. Besides serious invention n building chops he's marketer unparalleled. Even Steve Jobs had no such ability. He needs it to take on GM, Daimler and auto behemoths. Brand is the USP for Tesla, not tech as self-drive n EV startups are all over. For SpaceX tech is the USP as rockets are tough to replicate. Bezos's Blue Origin n Branson's Virgin Galactic have struggled for a year to copy reusable rockets.. poaching engineers, managers, R&D, wapi.

That's what folks don't see: lots of businesses have no unique value and are easily replicable. Musk is a master marketer. What you call politics or attention seeking is marketing 101.

He's too rich for politics. He's not a Dem. I see how this is going to pan out. With Trump you have alt right groups aka anarchy but the 'alt left' have yet to emerge. I sometimes imagine what kind of ideology this faction would bring to the world ... it would need to be intelligent, open, sustainable, daring, futuristic... the kind of ideologies Musk types would support.

He is definitely fragile.  Most people that rich can usually ignore slights from nonentities without a problem.

I think Musk is secretly bipolar or such a mental malady... which would be detrimental to business if revealed. He came close sometimes back when he admitted to severe mood swings and "dark periods".

Elon muthiki  has 0.3 percent of car market and he is acting like he invented. Sexual pleasure. The man is a fucking fool

It will take 180 years to replace fossil fuels. Lol by that time humanity will be on it's knees .

You're wrong. Fossil will be cut off by the rapidly declining cost of green energy. Economics. With the big EV mandate in US, Canada, EU, China, Japan, Aussie... gas cars will only be in 3rd world. As EVs go mass... they'll become cheap. Tesla will have a big share - already has 50% of EV and clean energy market. EVs are 1% of auto market now.

Dominating global energy or any sector sio mchezo. Toyota or GM took 100 years to get their 10 or 15% share of the pie. Henry Ford is long dead of old age with his skeleton hanging  in Detroit museum. Tesla is only 15 years old.

The only credible research on this I have seen is that it will take 121 years. Oil is baba na mama. Muthiki should go hunt Africans in southern africa. He is a cheap con. A bipolar bilithering maniac. Wake me up when 0.3 becomes majority. Even solar is shit. Nothing can replace oil only nuclear but no nearthadal wants the nuclear sludge in near their balls

Tesla is such a confused unicorn. I've seen a few on the road lately and it looks so whimsical. I would've preferred something sleek that makes unicorns cool but the black Tesla cars look like giant x-boxes and the white ones look like a tub of yogurt made in China.
