Kimani Turacco released an anti-Ruto song saying Mt Kenya voters owed nobody no debt - He said Kenyans had forgiven but they could not forget the atrocities done to them in 2007/2008 - The controversial track came just days after Kenyans blasted the DP's allies for premature 2022 politics A popular musician has left tongues wagging after releasing a track asking voters from Central Kenya not to support Deputy President William Ruto's presidential ambitions even as 2022 succession debate intensifies. This comes even as irked Kenyans took to social media to unleash their wrath upon a section of Jubilee leaders subscribed to the so called Team Tanga Tanga for constantly politicking instead of fulfilling their August 8, 2017 pre-election pledges. Send 'NEWS' to 40227 to receive all the important breaking news as it happens In the viral track dubbed Hatuna Deni, Kitaeleweka, which loosely translates to 'we owe no one any debt, we must get to the bottom of this', and viewed by TUKO.co.ke, on Thursday, July 5, the artist by the name Kimani Turacco said the vast Mt Kenya voters owed no one and hence should not be expected to return a favour in 2022. He said Kenyans forgave but they cannot forget the atrocities which were committed against them in 2007/2008 post election violence. The musician alluded to the incident in which tens of innocent people were burned inside a church in Kiambaa, Eldoret. "We owe nobody no debt. The only debt I know is that of Mshwari. Acha sasa kieleweke(let us get to the bottom of this," he sings. In the anti-Ruto track, the controversial artist said Kenyans have been suffering at the expense of selfish leaders who have done nothing but to cause them endless misery. I think if I were in GEMA, I would be more nuanced in my response to the debt thing.

I would remind people that Ruto killed our people. And as part of his punishment and compensation, he offered to deliver the presidency to GEMA. GEMA agreed to his offer. That means his debt is paid and he owes GEMA nothing and GEMA owes him nothing.

But these jingas are going into useless ujinga. The best message is the simple and silly. It is understood by everyone. You will be targeting monocell brains like Global Cow dung.

The mass burial photos and Kiamba wailing photos are in the songs. Ruto is impervious to such and thus likely to change little. It is like expecting Trump to be moved by accusations of having a prostitute.

Singing about Kiambaa while inciting more Kiambaa. If I was GEMA politician I'd be very worried about RV. There is huge youth bulge, Kalenjin are growing so fast, the land can no longer support their pastoral hang-over, and apart from a few who come to Nairobi as watchmen - there many idle youths ready for war -  I won't want to start a war by inciting Kalenjin youths. Moi state largesses kept many kalenjin busy - now Kalenjin have to learn to adjust - move to city slums like other big tribes or there will be a BIG TROUBLE. Rwanda trouble - many believe - is linked to land - and huge population that could no longer support Hutus.

Land was one aspect.  The Hutus were told they could take the land of those they had killed.  And indeed, there was plenty of music, poetry and radios involved.  But Rwanda has had ethnic massacres for a long time.  '94 was just the one that happened in CNN era.  Kagame's RPF also did its fair share of under-reported massacres of Hutus in the areas they occupied.  Unfortunately, Kenya is Rwanda-lite when it comes to templates for political violence.  The people are not armed so the natural target is not state forces but unarmed "accomplices" of the state.

Rwanda scale is due to the settlement. Hutus and Tutsi live in the same village. In kenya and elsewhere in Africa - each tribe live in their ancestral land - so tribal clashes happen mainly along the borders - and fizzle out. In RV - there is a bit of rwanda but not the same village --- it more like large farm by one tribe - then next farm by another - that will help - but if violence escalate - then it possible to have large farms being overrun-ed.

I think Land was critical - under colonial rule - mortality rate fell and rwandese like everyone else breed & that huge population on small land was always going to cause trouble - otherwise tutsi have always sat on hutus - but it only became an issues when economic opportunities started to fizzle out. The politics & incitements were more the triggers....but ultimately Hutus wanted to eject the tutsi and take over their land & properties.

Kikuyus in Nairobi and Central don't give a hoot about Kikuyus in RV. Expecting Kikuyus who don't know the name of their neighbours in Githurai to 'care' about guys in Molo when voting is laughable.

The Kikuyus in areas like Eldoret and Lamu need to suck the dicks of their hosts but they are so naively stupid.

And that is why the Negro is going be taken advantage of for a long time.  Bazungu in Oregon will not sleep well when they see suffering white folks in Kosovo.  There is almost a meme that the African is custom made for suffering.  That suffering and hardship is his natural state.  Africans themselves don't help much with changing that.

That's because most Africans are suffering. Only people who have plenty feel guilty when they see others with nothing.

Starting with Kibaki and later enhanced by Uhuru, the Kikuyu government has prepared well for any new violence in Rift Valley. I have seen police stations - better equipped than anywhere else - in RV.

Most of the Kikuyu "outposts" were abandoned. They have tended to concentrate in places where the exit is easy like Burnt Forest. I suspect they have a secret security plan complete with evacuation plans.

I think another "war" in RV would be quite an experience for the warriors. I think the casualties will be higher on the Kalenjin side.
