I have some bad news for our resident RV Pundit and Robina; That is going to be the next president of Kenya. Watch these next 2 years prior to his end of term at UNCTAD.

As for people repackaging themselves back to the roots where they came from; Mukhisa is equally the son of a peasant (bukusu) and so he doesn't have to parade his peasant credentials.

He has his flaws like every human being but one of those flaws is not "thieving". He served government very well who so far would pass as one of our best Trade & Industry Ministers and walked away free of taint of corruption or theft of public resources. Gema likes him and whispers are that Uhuru is very much comfortable that this is the guy. Watch Uhuru's body language; he is slowly cutting ties with Ulliam... interests now are around who will preserve and grow the wealth without killing the golden goose at the same time. That is the only permanent denominator in the play for power..... interests.

Mukhisa has international credentials and very vital contacts that will keep Kenya engaged with the major global players. He doesn't suffer fools easily and yes he is an arrogant fellow; but he is a brilliant mind. He also can play politics very well; he will have just about 2 years after the end of his UNCTAD mission to organise his stab for the top seat - enough time to be ready.

He has worked with Raila before and as we all know he worked very well with Uhuru in the government of national unity and they are united that Kenya needs some steady hands post Uhuru; not any more antagonism and politics of exclusion. Even though they had some icy partying of ways at some point, Raila will "tosha" him and Uhuru will not rock the boat so as not to openly upset Ulliam.

That is going to be our next PORK or prime minister or whatever the intended constitution review will create as the ultimate top-dog.

I would place Oparanya ahead of Kituyi in the succession line.  Still it's early times.  And also, it's the IEBC stupid.

MDVD is soft.  He would probably struggle winning governorship in Vihiga.  Kakamega on the other hand may be full of smaller subtribes but it is quite populous.

If he can soften Wetangula enough to get Bukusu vote - then MaDVD would be in pole position to pick the small tribes - most of whom are either maragoli or luo aligned. He can loose a few sub-tribes closely aligned with Raila but can get most of Luhyas. The bukusu is strange - it more uganda & even Kalenjin aligned - although it can get the tachoni to sway with them.

MaDVD had a golden opportunity but he need to close the deal - Bukusu never been this vulnerable - Wetangula is exposed empty suit - it btw the rock & the hard place - MaDVD or Ruto.

Yeah the biggest trophies are the governors serving their final term - they have no future -  Johos, oparanyas, mutuas, kingis and Ojaamong are very prized assets now - and I am pretty sure Ruto is working on them.

Yes, you need the counters.  The rest is ultimately irrelevant formalities.  I think Raila has come to terms with that.

I don't know where kichwa said that.  But if he did, I would love to see some credible sources cited.  The SCOK case focused on a narrow, but critical, scope of electoral accountability that was brought before it.  What observers saw or did not see was not germane to the ruling that there were not enough Form 34As to support a declaration at the time it was made.
