1) Ammend election act to make sense of Maina Kiai nonsense.
2) Ammend IEBC act go prevent Chebukati one-showmanship and make sure Vice-Chair can declare Uhuru elected pork if Chebukati get busy with trying to appease Odinga.
3) Ammend swearing in of PORK so any judge can do it - rather than compromised CJ and DCJ.

All these do not need constitutional amendment except the third - just one afternoon to pass those ammendments and Uhuru can append the signature the following day.

Once all that is done - we can go for election in 26th and swear Uhuru immediately - and get back to our lives.

All good but they shouldn't touch electronic transmission.

Now that we are going electronic, they need to figure what part of the transmission amounts to election materials that need to be retained for 3yrs

SCORK asked for a complimentary systems in case there is electronic failure. And that is manually transmission of those forms to CHQ and NHQ.

Jubilee is wasting time; such sections won't survive the Judiciary

The sore losers are still trying to doctor the process.  We know:

1) They faked form 34As in order to effect their rig
2) They interfered with the transmission of the real results
3) They broadcast their fake results
4) Forced Chebukati to announce their dodgy results declaring their guy the winner

The reasons the electoral fraudsters want to move away from electronic means is because:

1) Electronic transmission generates footprints
2) Electronic transmission and tabulation defeats manual ballot stuffing
3) Electronic transmission secures the transfer of Forms 34s from polling centre to NTC
4) Electronic transmission reduces the opportunities for the substitution of forms 34 en route to NTC

These thieving bastards are so keen on rigging elections that they will stop at nothing to ensure that their rigging opportunities are left wide open.

These actions further inform us that THEY DO NOT HAVE THE NUMBERS to win the forthcoming elections.

Jubilee has its way after 144 MPs voted in favour of allowing the publication of the Bill on amendments to Elections Laws to be reduced from 14 days to one day.
53 MPs voted against the motion.

How do those two go together? A complimentary means a second option and not the main way of doing things.
That law will be halted by the High Court.

SCORK asked for a complimentary systems in case there is electronic failure.
.

The Bill is yet to be published but it is understood the changes will make the manual tallying and transmission of results superior to the electronic system.

What is complimentary of an electronic systems if not manual or mechanical system?

An electronic back up system works best as it retains the inbuilt security policies.

These Jubilidiots think we have forgotten the real reasons why nobody wants to send RO's to deliver Forms 34s manually to bomas...

Otherwise we should all Q up pale bomas and deliver our vote directly to Chebukati.

Why waste time talking to IEBC when the parliament is busy changing the very guide lines being negotiated.

1. They went to Supreme Court saying some Form 34 A's were not signed by POs. The change pushed by Jubilee makes it a criminal offence for any PO to fail to sign Form 34A

2 They went to Supreme Court saying that CECs who are also Constituency Returning Officers did not sign Form 34B's. The amendment we seek will make it a criminal offence with a jail term of 5 years if they fail to sign 34 B's

3. They went to Supreme Court alleging that Wafula Chebukati announced the results before receiving all 34 A's and 34 B's. This amendment binds the National Returning Officer to receive all 34 As and 34Bs, validate them and reconcile them before announcing the Presidential Result

4. They went to Supreme Court saying that in some areas the electronic transmission failed due to unavailability of 3G and 4G networks. Agreed. This amendment makes the actual manual original Form 34A is the single source of truth in case there is no connectivity in a polling station

5. Good corporate governance demands that there is continuity in any organisation. If Wafula Chebukati is unwell at any one time, surely the IEBC should be able to perform.

When did our elections become subject to talks? Our elections should be held subject to the laws and regulations. These talks are not only useless but illegal. Chebukati should do his job as he see it fits. What is there to negotiate about?

I thought you were complaining that the talks collapsed.  The election was invalidated because they did not follow the law. The law also says that presidential elections must be held all over the country. Why don't you amend that too  to read that "so long as elections are held in kikuyu and Kalenjin regions of Kenya then the kikuyu/kalenjin winner will be sworn in as president of Zamunda. Lets not waste time.  Let us plunge full scale back to the dark eras of Kenya and then we will fight our way out again. Trust me, Ruto and Ouru will not last for ever.

Nope. I didn't want the talks or negotiation to even start. What is there to negotiate about?

We have no problem with that law - IEBC will hold election in every corner of this country and if Raila wins (improbable as it seem) he becomes our lame-duck PORK.If that particular law becomes a problem - I expect parliament to exercise leadership and fix it. That is what parliament is elected to do. Enact laws. IEBC conducts elections.

These amendments are clearing the grey areas. Seems quite in order. Or does NASA guys expect Duale to draft amendments saying that the person who gets less than 50% is the winner? It is akin to those opposing repeal of the age limit in Uganda expecting to be given lollipops by Museveni?

who decided that they were not "clear".  The court never complained about clarity.  They are being enacted because they want the laws to favor them.
