You cannot ran out of politicians to buy in Kenya but you cannot buy legitimacy and democracy.  Just like slavery or colonialism failed at a certain time, a majority acquired through undemocratic means will collapse under its own weight.  It did not work for Kenyatta, and Moi and it will not work for Ouru and Ruto. At a certain point, buying and intimidating supporters, starts to have diminishing returns.

CS is more powerful than governor. Education ministry is in charge of nearly 250-300B and about 300,000 staff. Kajiado is about 100 times smaller. Nkaissery position is open. Nkedianye is smart to go for it. Beside he lost governorship to Ole Lenku and even if he won the petition - he'd still has to beat Ole Lenku - backed by Gema diaspora and largest clan of Kajiado maasais. The guy is leveraging up.
