Thank you for that helpful info.  It looks like if Raila, to pick a perfectly random example, is eliminated, kamwana does not get to sleepwalk back to State House in the same election.

That's legal mumbo-jumbo.   If a candidate died in Kenya, regardless of how he or she actually died, it would be "obvious" that he or she had been done in by the other side. The bastards!.  The most pressing question would be how to control the mayhem from the candidate's supporters.   That would probably take more than 60 days.

The law means something in Kenya?   Didn't the President just declare that the law is "acceptable" only as long as those in power are not being "frustrated" and the Judiciary is not being "used" and ...

 Yes, Moon Ki, the law does mean something in Kenya and that is why ouru is mad.   Ouru likes to act as if he is a wolf in sheep skin but he is realy a sheep in sheep skin.  He is playing with fire. Let him subvert the law and see how long he can survive as a dictator. Kibaki knew he was going to lose in 2007 and he knew he was going to steal the elections, but he never threatened or projected his intentions. Now that is a wolf in a sheep skin.  Ouru has already projected his intentions and people are taking him very seriously. He will realize very quickly that the law does mean something as soon as he subverts it because the country will explode.
