Neither can the Chinese wait to get their loans paid. The excitement will die off pretty first once the ticket price jump to 4000 shillings.

This is worth all celebration. The standards for African governments are so low thus when a 370b project gets delivered before schedule is historic milestone.

Working and practical model says we can still do it and we need to do it whether the termites get their 10% 20% or 30%.

Precisely. Delivered on Time. On Budget and On Quality. This is amazing piece of work. This SGR/LAPSET is why Jubilee will go down in history as the most trans-formative like say US's Dwight D. Eisenhower  is know for building super-highways across the US.

How long is it Nairobi - Mombasa?  I doubt this can compete with KQ Jambojet but definitely better than shuttle. I wonder how the on-board service is? Safety and comfort are the attractive points.

Is there a cargo equivalent?  - this seems to be passenger only. Taking pressure off the roads and reduced transport cost must be a big part of the economic returns.

There is of course - on test ran starting yesterday - will charge 50k per container (half price) - when it goes life. Passenger is live - you can go to Mombasa now - in few hours with 700shs. Jubilee has done it.

In a 2 trillion growth economies there is need for such experiments annually or each 5 or 10 years.

Governors should also attempt such big bang 'unbelievable' experiments. Mutua has imprinted his name in history with his 33km road in 100 days. Too bad most governors turned out to be totally unimaginative and uninspirational.
