Why are people so easy to trust a politician? What if there is someone who uses these powers the Taliban way? I think Turkey as a modern state is toast... The current leader wants to Turkey to be another Saudi Ariabua..

He plans to cut down on the military power that has been used by The West to stage coups ostensibly to protect "Secular Turkey". Not very welcome.

I wish him well. There is hypocrisy. When Italy went to referendum on the same recently there was not a word from the EU about a power grab. The citizen refused though but for other reasons.

AM wary of leaders who always want more power. Putin-like powers seem to be popping up everywhere. Trump wants the same powers so the he can show his might, but unlikely to get it. Turkish leader should have used current system to change into a modern inclusive society instead of the status quo.
