I find that the cost of healthcare is a bigger concern than what a doctor's subconscious bias might be.  America has to find a way in which taking care of a cough does not include the possibility of a bankruptcy.

Racial bias is baked into this cost.. America would have universal healthcare if it didn't have African Americans.. On Racial bias it is a big problem and it has shown minorities end up with worse outcomes because of this.. The statistical proof is just overwhelming and policy makers are trying to address this

I guess you are right.  The current mess is accepted by most because the calculus is that it hurts blacks; even though that is far from the whole truth.  One cannot explain America without incorporating the African American into that explanation.

Republicans think that black people and the poor will gain the most if they pass universal healthcare. They have manipulated rural folks to think that way, and it is the reason why Obamacare was not popular in the beginning. Now that they have seen that its rural white folks who gained the most all over sudden they want Obamacare.

America needs more libertarian political movement ..Less government and more protection of private property and individual rights..Medicare needs to be scrapped. USa healthcare system is too costly and unstable to be reformed it needs radical surgery ..Unwinding Medicare would be a first step. Once the free federal dollars go away then providers will come with more market based solutions ..As for now everyone wants to keep on milking the Medicare cow without feeding it
