Who is paying bloggers to flood Social Media with SGR propaganda? Those trains are not younger than the ones you called "Freight Trains". They are the same generation and they are old and simply reconditioned. It good that you only posted the interior of the locomotives. Very clever but then we have social media.

There is no wonder here. It is the tax payers money and as many have said the big question is if we are getting value for our money.

Executing a project of such magnitude in 3 yrs is no joke. Most praise goes to China - whose capacity to finance and execute mega projects is simply unmatched. Jubilee also deserve some kudos for nailing this down.

About your rather mortifying question: Find the answer to "What made Jubilee move to Digital?" and that will satisfy you.

Lets put things in proper perspective.  If you borrow three times more money than is necessary and use China's capital and labor then its not a big deal.  It would have been far much difficult if we had leaders who cared about the future of this country.

The proper perspective is that this SGR will serve our nation for 100 plus years. It will largely pay for itself by moving passengers & cargo. This is very smart investment.

Sad thing is unlike passenger, the cargo will be one way traffic.

That is not a fact as of yet. There were much more cheaper ways to do this. The big question is whether it will keep on running once the Chinese people leave.
