I have met many people who push the line about Raila being a tribalist. I have chosen to mention Isaac Mwaura Nominated ODM MP from Central (Kikuyu). His case has been lost in the din. Yet it is very similar to that of Ababu Namwamba. I believe it is the same group of operatives who worked on both Ababu Namwamba and Isaac Mwaura.
First a brief background:
Raila picked this guy from obscurity so he can represent the differently abled. It was important at a time when Albinos were being killed by wizards and fortune hunters.
Mwaura soon became a VIP. He was invited to state house and asked what he was doing with Luos (his own words). He received cash. When he had his wedding he practically swam in Jubilee money. He stopped attending party functions and mounted platforms to speak against his party. His voting trend in parliament became erratic as he either avoided voting or voted with Jubilee. Remember he is a NOMINATED MP who benefitted from the party popularity.
Mwaura finally decamped to Jubilee on the promise that he will be a shoo-in for the Ruiru Constituency seat currently held by Hon. Esther Gathogo - a woman. So one disadvantaged group member will be fighting another disadvantaged group member. Since it is Uhuru behind it all, why could he not replace Moses Kuria with Isaac Mwaura and earn some free points?
Here are my predictions:
1. Isaac Mwaura will not make it beyond the primaries
2. Isaac Mwaura will not be in the next parliament
3. Isaac Mwaura will not be given the plum job others have been promised (even if Jubilee steals the election in 2017)
