KPMG Kenya Website...

Could anybody post a working link to KPMG (Kenya) so I can look at the Senior Management of that organization and be convinced it reflects the diversity and face of Kenya? I have checked a good number of their branches in other countries and they provide that information. Kenya seems to be an exception.

KPMG is private.  What does the law say about diversity in such firms?

Like I said below, any company can choose to employ people from one village or clan exclusively.  However whenever that company seeks a public job and especially one as sensitive as auditing IEBC Voter Register, the company's employment policies come in to focus.

Now you may be aware that the opposition has already accused KPMG of being "user friendly". This does not portend well for the exercise's integrity.

It's heavily involved with Republicans and corruption. eg. scandal:

The approach KPMG has taken at Stepping Hill has been amateurish at best

Problem is they have no experience in Kenya, let alone auditing voter registrations. Disaster waiting to happen.

The KPMG tax shelter fraud scandal involves allegedly illegal U.S. tax shelters by KPMG that were exposed beginning in 2003. In early 2005, the United States member firm of KPMG International, KPMG LLP, was accused by the United States Department of Justice of fraud in marketing abusive tax shelters.

Veritas

That is one of the many issues raised by the opposition and rubbished by Jubilee automatically as usual.

The process is sensitive and they needed to be transparent about the recruitment of an auditor.

Plus how do you audit a document that is contaminated? There is doubt about the contents of the register. There are multiple registers where the law requires that it be one. The IEBC has not clearly stated or identified one register. So which one is KPMG auditing?

What constitutes auditing? Is it simply looking at the names? Perhaps comparing with ID card register? What if the IDs care fake?

There are many tough questions to be answered.

The bottom line is that the process was negotiated and its implementation must be credible and non confrontational. The IEBC commissioners must go home. In the least three of them should resign leaving behind the number required by law. I think Isaack Hassan should be the first to go.
