On secessions: When will it be Kenya's turn?

I reckon it's a solution that would work in Kenya. Uhuru wants to be president longer than Moi's tenure and he probably could under current conditions and without outside intervention.

When Turkana and some counties get oil; they will want to secede.

The Coast wants to go already. NFD could leave easily and yes, unless the Turkana/ Pokot issues are resolved and the status of the lands claimed by the Pokot is settled there is an issue there that oil and gas will blow to high heaven.

A Kenya secession would be disastrous for the region's development but the trend (crossing my fingers) doesn't seem to be leading there even with our sectarianism makelele. African nations should be working toward political & economic integration not the other way around.

It can't be worse.  It seems it will only get worse before it gets better. 

The constitution is only as good as the people it is supposed to serve.  In Kenya it is only allowed to work if it favors those in power.  For the most part it is a minor nuisance.

The current regime voted against the constitution. They did not take part on the dove throwing promulgation.
