The police (including riot police) stand by and watch as evidence is torched. Willful laziness?

Most likely the "demonstrators" were APs in civilian clothes. Look how helpless the police standby as anarchy reigns.

Kenyans need to learn how to demonstrate...right now there is a school burning craze...it seem we need to be taught basic civic lesson..on how to express public rage without burning things up. Time for parliament to come up with "Demonstration/Civil Action Act" that should define what is acceptable and what isn't --with serious sentences for those destroying property --and for police breaking up lawful & peaceful demos.

The peaceful demos you see..goes likes this...hold twigs and shout "haki yetu"!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Unfounded conspiracy. FBI and our courts can still nail you even if your burn kenya down. It obvious this was demonstration by people who don't know better.

Most of the incriminating evidence has been gathered. It is enough to obtain a conviction. The biggest piece of evidence of course is the (dead) body. Eye witness accounts as well as the officers' own statements will add to mobile data placing them at the point of abduction and body disposal / recovery to seal their fate.

It is the fact that policemen are treated as VIPs in prison by the guards who in most cases trained along with them that is irritating. Once again we focus on prisons. It is not that I want people to die there but I want to see sentences being served for real. The idea of having death row convicts released bx presidential pardon after just a few months of serving time is sickening.

That department should be removed from Interior and stand on its own.

I also doubt that those idiots now in prison and out on the ran can organize demos to clean this up. It clear they are low IQ murderers that have been emboldened by many years of harrassing kenyans to imagine they're law unto themselves. The dead litigant really knocked them off their high pedestal when he took them to court.

The way forward I have said and will say..when it comes to Police and Aps..is simple...mass transfer each one to their home villages...just like teachers...and they won't doing all these kinds of things. They'll become respectable people in the society. OCS/OCPDS can come from different county but 90% of the police force in Syokimau or Kimulot should be from Syokimau or Kimulot. You finish training...and you report to the nearest police station in your location or division.

You don't police people you don't know or relate to. That is coloniliasm. The genesis of our police force is the Brit's colonoliasm system that started from Sudanase and other mercenaries being imported to become police over natives. That hasn't stopped. Police transfer policy is still the same...send the guy as far as possible from his home area..often away from his family..in deplorable housing...and slowly turn him into an animal...by constantly moving him from point A to Point B...where his only resort is the nearest pub and brothel...and is job description is to harrass those that don't pay for his drinking.

Demonstration/Civil Action/ Picketing  Act is a very good idea. It would end the era of teargas. The organizers can state beforehand how many would be arrested etc,

Demonstrations in Kenya are predictable.  They will be ignored if they do not cause pain(not necessarily violence).  There is no conscience to appeal to.
