BTW, as far as I am concerned these are just assembling plants for laptops.
I think the content and how the e-learning is accomlished would be more interesting for the universities.
Most technology companies have moved away from hardware to software. That is where the future lies as assembling plants just go to where wages are cheapest.

Isn't that why there are partnering. I think most important thing to do right now is to get started. Doing it right will come later.This is great ambition by Jubilee that many years laters will be lauded as big move forward.

Why not. I had rather we do something for taxpayers than argue endlessly whether this or that is the right thing. Let start doing something. Anything is better than nothing. And that we can easily do by giving every kid a cheap laptop and leaving them to their devices.

In 1980s most students could write a good composition. 2010s most students can barely write a good sentence. So, computers are good but secondary.

Is that based on any real hard facts. I doubt. 80s education was worse in all terms...quality and access. If Rwanda are already doing computers, why not a more advanced Kenya. Jubilee should proceed fullswing with this ambitious project.
