I started a thread at choo asking anybody to show me ONE state appointee to any parastatal from the favoured ethnic group who has ever delivered. KENGEN Njoroge was cited. I refuted with evidence of corruption.

Now read this and see just how blatant they have become. For the first time I realize Uhuru now has emasculated the watch dog agency that used to ensure hanky panky in tenders is kept out.  The Public Procurement Oversight Board is officially dead and buried.

Here you have a situation where the organization's own Tender Committee makes a clear well founded decision to exclude an unqualified company BUT the Managing Director and Board overrule it and hand the tender to well, that very company. Mugo should be in jail as we speak but he is from a favoured ethnic group and perhaps he is a victim of higher orders.

The way I see it, some diaspora Kenyans who are loud on corruption from their desks abroad are behind this ripoff:

Mr Yego further indicates that the firm did not meet the 10-year experience clause on design and engineering in geothermal technology as stipulated in the advertisement for the tender.

APPLICATION DISMISSED
From the letter, it is clear that the work demands steam gathering ability, high voltage substation transmission systems and supervision of implementation and that a bidder with no capacity would certainly need to subcontract the tender.
