Muthama Outing Uhuru and Waiguru: Who is the Complainant?
« on: September 28, 2015, 09:13:45 PM »
I note that the DPP wishes to use state resources to investigate this. I note that the Cabinet Secretary for Internal Security has found it a matter of national security and "ordered" the arrest of Senator Muthama. He has equally "directed" the National Cohesion and Integration Commission to quickly find Muthama guilty. The Chairman - a former politician and fellow Maasai (the Interior CS is a Maasai as well) - has followed up on those instructions.

In all this, two people are missing - the aggrieved parties - Uhuru Kenyatta and Ms Things of Desire.

There has been another NYS demo at parliament targeting Senator Muthama; The usual politicians have called press conferences after being seen emerging from the lifts in Waiguru's office and Monica Juma has opened up her purses at the Interior ministry much to the delight of MPs. The demos at parliament lacked the usual energy and few MPs have been "vocal".

Could it be that Uhuru Kenyatta has been man enough not to deny his woman? The woman, perhaps thinking of the young "fatherless" kid at home is only too happy to be recognized even at a public rally? Would she risk going public to deny a relationship and later go to court to seek a portion of the vast Kenyatta estate for her kid? I doubt that.

Now when one examines the Kenyan presidency, three Kikuyus have entered that office. All of them have been polygamists. Yet we like to think of polygamy as a Luo thing??

I was told that if your father or mother was in a polygamous relationship where you were born, chances are you too will be in such a relationship. How many girls deny this only to end up being somebody's second wife? How many of us end up with more than one wife?

Uhuru Kenyatta is the son of Mama Ngina Kenyatta who was Kenyatta's youngest wife (trophy wife). He has no option.

To me, these are sideshows.  There is Ksh. 800 million missing.  Is that money as good as gone?  Does wanjiku realize this is her money?  Even if nobody goes to jail, is there a plan by Waiguru, Kamwana or whoever to get it back?  I think getting it back should be the priority.

In one of his travels, Gulliver ends up in a place where scientists are engaged in all sorts of Amazing & Worthwhile experiments.   One group aims to ensure food security by taking poop and---in a machine that "reverses" the digestive process---turning it back into the original food.  They do not do very well.  They keep hoping,  but not much happens.

This typical Kenyan situation is like that: The Good & Sweet Eating has already been done.    Wanjiku has been left with a pile of poop.    Can things be reversed?  As with Gulliver's scientist friends, here too the history does not have offer much to inspire optimism.

If one were to catch me re-reading a book, it would be Gulliver's Travels. I never seem to get enough of it. The themes he discusses are ever so relevant. The Penguin edition has a foreword from the Former Labour Party Leader Michael Foot - an essential reading for anybody.

Indeed, in the same book, Jonathan Swift (as Captain Gulliver) advisers Projectors (Project Managers etc) to heed the book.

My favorite part of that visit to the Academy of Arts and Sciences is the guy who is trying to extract sun beans out of cucumbers in order to provide lighting and heat to the Governor. I follow the developments in Solar energy with that guy in mind.

He has been at that project for 8 years without success but he is sure given another 8 years, he would supply the governors gardens with a steady flow of heat and light.

I also can't ignore the professor - born blind and with equally blind students who is trying to teach the poor souls how to distinguish pain color by smell. Needless to say it was a mess over there.

In the arts, I continue laughing whenever the Poetry machine which is supposed to replace "the usual method" {of writing fiction] is mentioned.

I think I will do a new review of the novel. I just can't believe people still think it is a children's book.

Omollo:

It is indeed a great book.

I was just looking at the DN Online and noted that Kenya/AU (via Mugabe!) plans to bring up ICC manenos at the UNGA of all places.  Considering the actions of Kofi Annan, Ocampo, etc., Kenya's post-PEV posturing was actually foreseen by Gulliver: That's the one where the Queen's Palace is engulfed in flames, and the Little People get Gulliver to put out the fires by pissing on the palace.    Once the fire is out, it is promptly forgotten.    Gulliver The Hero?   Nop.   Gulliver doesn't get the slightest hint of gratitude.  Instead, the focus is on the fact that the palace supposedly stinks of piss and it doesn't appear that the smell will go away anytime soon.  And who would be responsible for that?   Aha! The might-have-been-a-hero gets it from all sides.

About pissing on the Palace, there is another motive for picking on him. He had been spending a lot of time with the queen. The ridiculous idea that a giant would have an affair with a tiny being size of his (you know what) does not stop the bad feelings directed at the man.

Raila and Ruto should have read this book before they supported certain people. Ruto is now being bad mouthed and the road to his conviction slowly but surely paved. If only one could blame the Chief Yahoo (Raila) without any blame going to the Chief Houyhnhnm, Ruto would be cooling in a cell in The Hague.

I would also recommend reading his A Modest Proposal. He published anonymously at first. The way we treat our children!

Is it because the President has no way of getting the money back?  This is a fresh heist.  The thieves have been fingered by Waiguru/CID.  This means that they are known entities.  Can't kamwana's government in the meantime freeze/seize their assets?

In theory, just as the poop machine ought to have worked, their assets could be frozen, they could be taken to court and dealt with, the money could be recovered, ... In practice, this is Kenya, the only thing we may reasonably expect is another scandal that will make people forget this one.   Of course, there will be plenty on entertaining noise in the meantime.

The impression I am getting is that Kamwana (and Waiguru) will not do what is necessary to ensure the crooks they claim they have nabbed do not get away with it.  Because if they really think these crooks shouldn't be doing it, one would think they would have already gone to court to freeze/seize their assets.  Given that is not the case then one must assume that Waiguru is robbing wanjiku in broad daylight.  The rest is just the tried and tested choreography of stealing Kenya style.

And the most CORD can come up with is to suggest that kamwana must be sleeping with Waiguru.  And they consider it a victory of sorts when CID finds no case against Muthama.

I am struggling to digest this.   Can't CORD maybe go to court and have the named suspects assets frozen or seized?

CORD has no strategists. Reactionaries all of them.
