I note that the DPP wishes to use state resources to investigate this. I note that the Cabinet Secretary for Internal Security has found it a matter of national security and "ordered" the arrest of Senator Muthama. He has equally "directed" the National Cohesion and Integration Commission to quickly find Muthama guilty. The Chairman - a former politician and fellow Maasai (the Interior CS is a Maasai as well) - has followed up on those instructions.
In all this, two people are missing - the aggrieved parties - Uhuru Kenyatta and Ms Things of Desire.
There has been another NYS demo at parliament targeting Senator Muthama; The usual politicians have called press conferences after being seen emerging from the lifts in Waiguru's office and Monica Juma has opened up her purses at the Interior ministry much to the delight of MPs. The demos at parliament lacked the usual energy and few MPs have been "vocal".
Could it be that Uhuru Kenyatta has been man enough not to deny his woman? The woman, perhaps thinking of the young "fatherless" kid at home is only too happy to be recognized even at a public rally? Would she risk going public to deny a relationship and later go to court to seek a portion of the vast Kenyatta estate for her kid? I doubt that.
Now when one examines the Kenyan presidency, three Kikuyus have entered that office. All of them have been polygamists. Yet we like to think of polygamy as a Luo thing??
I was told that if your father or mother was in a polygamous relationship where you were born, chances are you too will be in such a relationship. How many girls deny this only to end up being somebody's second wife? How many of us end up with more than one wife?
Uhuru Kenyatta is the son of Mama Ngina Kenyatta who was Kenyatta's youngest wife (trophy wife). He has no option.
