There are hundreds of schools, but Government is working around the globe
Who had the dough in 2022? The evidence is glaring.
Right now, your Ichung'wa is violently repulsive in Kikuyu despite stellar development record and being elected unopposed when he had no dough. He has radicalised Dagoretti/ Kikuyu hotspots - burning police, law courts - This is not just hate!
There is a very funny relationship with pesa, power na kiburi mashinani - oscillates between envy, jealousy, admiration to repulsion.
Navigating national politics while maintaining chokehold on mashinnani is even more a hard nut to crack with current constitution why like of Kindiki and Ruku are more of a liability in Mbeere North. Even if you have only been DP or Cs for a few month decades old impoverishment is on you? What have you done for dirty poor Mbeeres, mud collapsing schools?
President William Ruto's administration is actively involved in constructing and upgrading schools across Kenya as part of its education reform agenda. A key focus is addressing infrastructure gaps, particularly at the junior secondary level, to ensure a smooth transition for students within the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC).
Key aspects of these efforts include:
Completion of Grade 9 Classrooms: The government plans to complete the construction of 11,000 Grade 9 classrooms before the start of the 2025 academic calendar, according to an article on allAfrica.com.
Addressing Laboratory Shortages: A major concern is the lack of laboratories in many junior secondary schools. To mitigate this, the government is considering virtual laboratories and the construction of 16,000 new classrooms by next year, says allAfrica.com.
Investing in Infrastructure Upgrade: President Ruto emphasizes the importance of modern, dynamic, and inclusive education infrastructure to enhance the learning experience and improve student living conditions.
National Government Constituency Development Fund (NG-CDF): Members of Parliament are encouraged to utilize their NG-CDF allocations to supplement government efforts in constructing additional classrooms, according to allAfrica.com.
Teacher Training and Recruitment: Along with infrastructure development, the government is also focusing on hiring more teachers to address teacher shortages and training them for the specific needs of the CBC, particularly in STEM fields, says allAfrica.com.
It is important to note that while these efforts are underway, concerns exist regarding the adequacy of funding, particularly in supporting free primary and secondary education amid budget constraints. Challenges also include shortages of teachers and essential infrastructure in some learning institutions, impacting access to quality education
Ruto has built many schools, but I have to give a shoutout for my My Nursery School. I think most Schools the next 4-5 years will be built en masse as part of Housing agenda. 1200-1600 dilapidated colonial police stations are to be built too. My Nursery School got the best makeover ever!

To this.
