I was visiting my aunt and my cousin who was old enough to have interacted with my grandfather told me that my grandfather told her that he was born at around the city mortuary that where his dad and his 6 wives lived. They lost the land to colonial govt and  moved the family  to Ruaka where they were again displaced by the colonial settlers. Some of my grandfather step brothers remained in nairobi and we have a street named after my great grandfather near village market.

Man was it not for colonialism we would be owning Nairobbery. Funny enough one of my dad's cousin became DC and nyakuad a lot land in Karen and Ngong so he at least redeemed the family. My dad aunt in Lari was to suffer the greatest tragedy of Lari massarce after her son Juddah Ngumba was hanged for being the key organizer of Lari massarce. He was a wealthy bachelor who was so dedicated to Mau Mau that he didn't marry. When he was detained in Githunguri he was given an option to escape death penalty by denouncing mau mau he told the colonial prosecutor that he had no kids so no one I'll suffer so he should hang him. He was hanged and burried in unmarked grave. Everyone in the family pleaded with him for months to agree to predeal but he died like a soldier. In retribution the colonial govt took my dad's aunt land. They went from the richest family to paupers..they worked their way back into wealth after independence but that trauma made them very antisocial and fierce. My uncles never suffered fools they would beat people at the slightest provocation

File a case in the Kenyan court. You will be a rich man when you win the case. :D :D :D

Btw, most African communities before the mzungu came around the corner, did not know individual ownership of land. It was actually like a lease.

The historical land injustices should be addressed.i think Kikuyus in diaspora acquired land and not grazing rights from Athi or Gumba people "Dorobos". The Lease was before they paid off the land. The arrangement would start as lease then eventually they would buy it. Some greedy Kikuyus like Waiyaki wa Hinga swindled Athi people of their land. That why mzungu after nationalizing land would insistigate Athi to reclaim their lands from Kikuyus. Waiyaki was killed due to this land dispute as mzungu used it to pressure him and eventually this led to the show Waiyaki being clobbered to death.

However the historical injustices in places like LARI post 1952 would be easy to address.

Let the Maa also recliam their land. This will be interesting to watch. It would make the Kikuyu claims look like a child's play.

They can reclaim their land. A lot of it was bought so I see no way they would get compensation that they don't deserve. Mzungu didn't annex most of the Maa land. You see there is a lot of fallacy of Maa being owners on Nairobi..the grazed there but they didn't settle permanently. The criminality I want addressed is that of some Colonial loyalists taking land from their neighbors without any legal backing just pure thievery

Kalenjin ndorobo own the land ruiru to kinungi. The Kikuyu leased it. There was no provisions for outright purchase. Okiek AK athi ak dorobo would collect lease throughout.

Not really they leased them once deforestation happened they would move on and sell. Dorobos are not Athi or Gumba..Athi/Gumba are bushman in areas near Central. Athi were more in the now central highlands and Athi in the Plains.

They were all kalenjin. Gumba/athi/dorobo. 1934 land commission dismissed evidence of purchase. They were lease n one was expected to pay like Kikuyu dowry throughout. Dorobo would occasionally ask for sheep
