If general elections were called today, Nigel Farage would be PM. But don't hold your breath: UK voters have a penchant to vote far-right in local elections but not parliament where real power lies. Before he formed Reform party, Farage led first UKIP then Brexit party. Both those parties pushed hard for Brexit. They would win a landslide in EU elections but score dismally in UK parliamentary elections. Despite running for years, Farage only became an MP last year when his party managed 5 MPs.
Will the future be different?
