Mixed bag as we destroy our education sector. Those parents in Kale land are betting away their land, pensions, loans and all.
It is becoming an election issue.

The foreign-educated crop of Kenyans in government and politics has little to show.

Private sector also ish ish.

For-profit schools around the world are the problem, where students and parents are loaded with debt with substandard education. If your school has homework due by 11:59 on Sunday night, you know you are in a shit school (85% of school). America leads with shitty universities that specialize in churning out students with $75K+ in debt the day they graduate. Kenya and the rest of the countries seem to have followed the same for-profit education model.  Try having a conversation with a recent master's graduate in Kenya, and you will be shocked. Same with American High schooler graduate. Give her/him a pen and paper to write something, and that is when you will appreciate Kenya's 8-4-4 system. I think computers, AI and too much tech in education have weakened education globally. Great thing is if you are a lifelong learner, technology has made it easy to improve at any point long after graduation/work. In 10-20 years from now, I think all these people in colleges learning substandard stuff will be replaced by AI and machines, and for a good reason.

Kazi majuu looks total scam - Australia is doing the best growth; Germany kidogo.

Saudi down!- kweli everything govt touches turns into tears. The agents were doing well only needed the government to ensure mwarabu respects those house helps rights. They have muddled everything and now with useless PR Mutua it can only get worse.

Quote
Cash inflows wired by Kenyans living and working in Australia jumped 71.1 percent during the first three months of this year to hit $56.03 million up from $32.7 million in a similar period last year, at a time the overall remittances grew 2.2 percent to $1.23 billion (Sh158.9 billion).

Official data from the Central Bank of Kenya (CBK) indicates that during the period under review, Australia’s inflows were the fastest growing among Kenya’s top five sources, with UK’s dipping at the steepest pace of 30.2 percent to $78.4 million down from $112.4 million in the first quarter of last year.

Remittances from the UK fell alongside those from Saudi Arabia which shrunk 2.7 percent to $98.7 million down from $101.4 million.
Germany, which in May last year inked a deal on streamlining labour migration rules with Kenya, posted the second-largest growth amongst the top five sources of diaspora remittances.

Money sent by Kenyans from Europe’s largest economy rose 7.1 percent to $46.5 million up from $43.4 million last year.
