When Gen Z was making noise and storming parliament, I had a conversation with the president about putting all fresh younger people in the cabinet. He was like, That is not how you run things in Africa, where tribes and cartels reign supreme. Now I understand why you have to pick only influential people with supporters in the cabinet. Murkomen has like 98% of Elgeiyo Marakwet, and as bad as he may be, picking him is better than someone NOT liked by villagemates. Kabogo in Kiambu also has massive followers. Kinyanjui in Nakuru is a household name, etc. For the president to govern in peace, you have to appease all these groups in silos, or they will foment and bring goons to the streets. Now you understand why Gen Z has completely evaporated. They were mercenaries of senior cartels in the shadows, and now that they have been satisfied, they have laid down their arms. Luo gangs have been dissolved, with Raila appointing Mbadi, Opiyo Wundayi, Johos, and the rest to the government. Kikuyu goons have also been weakened by bringing Uhuru and the hardcore criminals, like the ones that stormed parliament and stole guns, have been yalad, jailed, and some, I assume, rendered disabled in their ghettos!! In simple terms, to govern in Kenya, you have to be vicious because of the existence of tribal nations with interests. Kibaki yalad thousands, and Uhuru yalad more thousands, and it seems Ruto is much more lenient in yala games, but only using it on treasonous circumstances like storming government-critical infrastructures!
