Syria rebels besiege Damascus
« on: December 07, 2024, 08:55:51 PM »
These thugs are aided by US. Taken 2 cities in a week. Assad useless army is no match unless Russia and Iran assist them.

A million Syrians that fled the country are funding rebels. Assad may go the Gaddafi route soon unless Putin unloads gas and chemicals like the last time. I think Putin is weak and stretched thin and may not help Syrian Assad terrorist this time.

Putin is weak and cannot save Assad. Damascus falling. Likely will be dead or exiled days from now!
Quote
Rebel forces appear to have entered the Syrian capital of Damascus, one resident told CNN, as the Assad regime’s defenses showed signs of collapsing.

“The rebels are in Barzeh,” a neighborhood inside Damascus city, the resident told CNN, adding that clashes were currently taking place.

“I saw rebel fighters moving through the inner alleys of Barzeh toward Police Club Street, and I can hear very loud sounds of clashes. The electricity is cut off, and the internet is very weak, people are staying at their houses.”

“Militarily, Damascus has fallen,” a source familiar with the rebels’ advance told CNN.

Reconnaissance units had entered Damascus overnight searching for President Bashar al-Assad but were unable to find him, the source added.

Special rebel operatives have entered Damascus and are taking up key positions in “strategic places,” the source said.

The rebels say they are in touch with senior Assad regime elements who are considering defecting.

Through the day, anti-regime forces have been moving from the north, south and east toward Damascus, reaching suburbs less than 5 miles — and in one case, barely 1 mile — from the center of the Syrian capital.

I think US or Israel shot the plane down. Rebels have no air capability

That was a walkover. Despots are overrated.

Looks it will be fluid geopolitical decade as we head to the 2030 with TRump draining the pentagon swamp.

Assad and Putin are Trump's puppets. The rebels aimed to complete the task before Trump intervened to offer protection after Jan 20th

Israel is already making enemies with the rebels. Bombing Syria to smithereens so that rebels won't have any weapons when they assume power. Seems another Libya for the next decade

The reports show Assad and Putin were running a large drug trade the last 5 years, and as such, Assad accumulated billions of dollars. Assad and his family reportedly fled to Moscow with an astronomical amount of money. He'll be watching folks slaughter themselves in a secluded rich neighborhood! Assad may invade again 5-10 years later when rebels have ruined the country!

You are overrating Trump. See his nominee Tulsi Gabbard for director of national intelligence visited Assad a couple of times and was busy defending him while he massacred his people and sent half of the population into exil.

That was a walkover. Despots are overrated.

Pentagon swamp will swing recklessly for the time being. This was in 2017 in Trump 1.0

The videos of refugees queuing at the borders and those in Damascus are quite inspirational. Evil US Pentagon bombing just wants to fulfil the prophecy of Iraq, Yemen, Latin America and such where they turn people's liberation.

These are terrorists; no wonder the US has bombed and wiped 90% of Assad's military tools. They are now left with Al Shabaab-type rocket-propelled grenades and dilapidated AK-47s. In few years, like Libya, Syrians will want Assad back, who may come and conquer again now that he left with 650 billion dollars worth of drug cash and Putin's backing!
