You and Termi are wrong in your analysis of this situation. I guess you are still smarting from Kamala's atrocious drabbing by Trump. THE TAIL WAGS THE DOG here - the party or color or gender of POTUS does not matter. Israel would be slaughtering and starving kids en mass even under President Harris. Indeed, the massacres were going on with the full support of Biden and Kamala who overtly pretended to stymie or moderate Israel whereas we later learnt this was pure PR.

Well, at least the Rethugs are not as pretentious as the Dems.

The only dynamic is why Muslims/Arabs should blindly support Democrats like they have for decades. Now that they withdrew their support - future Dem candidates must table a solid proposal to get it back. Or well forfeit it and tilt the former blue states (Michigan, Pennsylvania, perhaps Georgia) to deeper purple.

That is the diplomatic language, but others are leaking that the discussion is about how to kill them faster in mass because even if they are moved out, they may regroup and return back in the future. The method of extermination is probably the food poisoning documented recently by an American whistleblower. In the meantime, the Genocide-joe idiots that voted Trump in Michigan are nowhere to be seen. Trump has also hatched a plan for denaturalization mainly targeting Muslims, which I'm sure will affect them the most. Rashida Tlaib et al. are quiet in shame!

That is the line the folks that made terrible decisions use to comfort themselves, especially the Arab community in Michigan. Kamala and Biden were adamantly for a two-state solution and supported Israel as far as eradicating Hamas, but USAID and the State Department were actively engaged in genuinely addressing innocent civilians. The Michiganders wanted Biden to do more. On the other hand, even Killer Netanyahu was initially scared of Trump's proposals, like the speedy removal of all Palestinians by any means necessary, including starving them to death, poisoning, etc. The current hardline positions you see now are not Israeli but more of White House proposals. Total eradication of Palestinians out of Gaza is the only policy at the moment. Democrats never advocated for such!

About Trump's actions - expelling Gazans to Sinai or Libya is MERCY. Expulsion or poisoning is actually by far much better than the slow, painful death they would suffer under Democrats. I don't know about Michiganders but I for one have help this view for long. This thread tells it well.

Be objective. Liberals and progressives, to whom it seems you and I belong, are upset that democrats and Biden didn't do enough on Palestinian support. That is where beef comes from. On the other hand, everyone knows Trump only supports Israel and wants Palestinians completely removed. Moving them out was the initial Trump policy, but it seems they have settled on killing them because of fear they may return. Trump, in a recent meeting with Netanyahu, resolved to do 100% what Israel wants, and that is to completely destroy Palestinians in Gaza and then head to west bank and do the same. The goal is to have one Israel and no Palestinians in Palestine or anywhere in the world. The Michigan Arab community has been sending emissaries apologizing to Biden because they now see the picture. Hypocrisy and lukewarm support are better than systematic erasing of people through death!

Even so, Biden — like most past U.S. leaders — has sought to maintain some balance and support for Palestinians and to present the United States as a potential mediator in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

By contrast, Trump was the first U.S. chief executive who gave near-absolute, unconditional support to Israel, handing the government of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu everything it asked for and then some.

Trump moved the U.S. Embassy from Tel Aviv to the disputed capital of Jerusalem, the first major country to do so. He also endorsed Israeli control of the Golan Heights, a contested fertile plateau that Israel seized from Syria in the 1967 Middle East war. He did so without concessions from Israel.
