There is no one more pro media freedoms in the world than Kenya's President. He sincerely believe media should free, even when they biased OR have agenda against duly elected Government. There has to be crackdown or regulation on media owners - dynasties of moi,kenyattas, sk - to ensure media play it role in promoting democracy.Ruto would have failed if he doesnt do something about few people owning huge part of mass media. They must be made to sell their shareholding. Parliament should pass a law disallowing anyone from owing more than 20% of mainstream media.

Thankfully social media is blunting the mass media bias - otherwise we could have been captured
