This is is a good start. Kenyans have to reject any attempts to take us back to Kenyatta and Moi regime. The so called security ammendments  are the biggest affront to our freedoms and rights..and ought to be rejected in toto.

Uhuru will not win 2017 if he re-awaken the KANU monster...

It will be 2002 re-play.

Jubilee's only response to insecurity has been propaganda.  Dennis Itumbi is their answer to any problem.  Itumbi struggled mightily to get a diploma.

Because Itumbi manure is easy to counter, they figure free speech has to be curtailed.

The main target has always been the regular mwananchi in the blogosphere.  They want to be able to say that ODM and the Lamu governor are behind terror attacks without being called out.

Itumbi-Njamlik would be as gift. I would volunteer to help CORD unlike the last election when I stood aside. Some of us need real principle issues to get involved. I hear he has de-registered NGOs in revenge for the ICC and deported staff. Then Uhuru is on the right track. If he thinks the PR firms will help him he is dreaming. We have the experience of putting PR firms out of business by revealing their other unsavoury clients and cause many of their paying clients to bolt.

Gov  of fools by fools. After 5yrs there won't be any country left. I think Kipsigis and Pokot should break free from Jubilee and puncture it ASAP.

Uhuruto will win with over 55%. Take that to the bank. The only problem is if he chooses to go ahead with the poorly-thought-out laptops project. He may win with 51%

There is an argument doing the circles that the terrorists' aim is to generate as much publicity as possible.  That the the laws will deny them this avenue.  An example is that of publishing of gory pictures of the acts of terror.

It sounds good on the surface.  And innocuous.  Anyone with the average jubilant intellect and below will be hard pressed to see a problem with it.

The problem with this argument is not so much that the law seeks to airbrush the truth.  Or that it can be easily abused for political purposes.  But rather the assumption that it can even work.  That it can prevent  the dissemination of this information.

If the terrorist wants to share his workmanship, he will still do it using the internet.  Short of banning the internet, the perps are going to share the information.

Such a law only works to send legitimate dissent underground.

Re-election is not easy. Kibaki started with 63% and could barely manage 40% despite economy growing. Uhuru is fairing worse in my opinion with half thought ideas and lack of real seriousness in anything. Right now CORD has ran over MaDVD in western..so they are up 4%...with Luos,Luhya and kamba (in doubt). For CORD to win..they have to select Kalonzo. Raila will not accept that..and Uhuru will make a mince meat out of him again. Kalonzo with strong backing of Luo,Luhyas and Coast..wins against Uhuru.

Calling them fools is very misleading
those are dangerous criminals and the new amendments to the law
are actually criminals changing the law to suit them.

Yes seem cold  calculated moves but at end of the day they are messing up the country fundamental freedoms, rights, idealsand principles..but one day theywill fall foul of the same laws. In the short term they might win..but in long time..like Kibakis and Jaramogi later discovered the same laws..will be used againsts them. That makes them foolish. We want laws that protect us all..whether we are in gov..or outside gov...whether we like those governing us..or do not. It one reason developed countries like US or UK have standard laws for nearly everyone...at least most of time.

There is saying that goes like the best laws are created to protect your enemy not to shield you.

The problem with Kalonzo is TRUST. Many people I meet simply don't trust him. They think he is likely to betray them. They look at his less than enthusiastic involvement in matters CORD and recoil. The same goes for Wetangula. His role in the 2007 theft of election and his being rewarded with foreign affairs and given a free hand to steal has been slow in going away. If Eunice had not made it so obvious that he was Uhuru's mistress, Wetangula was going to have a very hard time in Bungoma.

That said, do not underestimate Raila. He has a few things to do. If he listen to Masinde here he would win. He first has to distance himself from his close Luo advisers (he can consult them at night). The he has to bring "outsiders" close. He should learn one simple lesson and that Consultation before concession. That has been his waterloo. He lost Ruto when he conceded to Kibaki on ministries thus reducing the rewards he could given his own supporters; He had earlier stopped his team from demanding the Presidency be either given to him or be shared with him going first. He then started his own talks parallel to the ones in plenum thus undermining his own team. Above all, he should never do anything without asking his constituency. That is the disease he shares with MaDVD. You can see how failure to consult has ruined MaDVD. Supporters get the idea they are doing all the work so you can make deals at their expense.

Still it is going to be tough. Kalonzo is anxious to be President. I am afraid MaDVD is on his way back to ODM or CORD and his presence usually causes Raila to stop thinking properly.

Need new leadership. Raila can't even put his ODM together how can he do the country?
Think outside the box. We need a patriot not a tribalist. I don't see any young person who is a patriot. I thought Kenyatta was but look at his record.... He's followed his dad.

Raila is too polarazing to win PORK. Kalonzo is shoe in. You just have to trust him. Or our adolescent president will continue joking around.
