Kenyatta and moi trillionaires need to pay tax..and their proxies  This slap on their wrist. Ideally their wealth should be nationalised if not for many dogs in Kenya used to eating their vomit. If we take everything kenyatta and moi own kenya..they will still be rich from assets abroad.

Why only investigate from 2018? There were no tax exemptions from 2013? Tax exemptions are legal and anyone can apply, the question would be what qualifies for tax exemption. Punitive tax regime leads to low compliance and loopholes for the elites and cronies .

Abuse of office is not legal.
NCBA is classic example.
Uhuru cannot exempt himself from paying taxes.
Minister of Finance should be charged with abuse of office and all the tax exemption waived - and the companies asked to remit the taxes.
And heavily fine for procuring such exemption corruptly.
These are not normal business - but these are political business that survive on favourable political climate.
We dont need them.
Nobody will lose if they die - infact small genuine business will grow - because the unfair competition is gone.

So for this make it as punitive as possible. Kill them business. Correct market failures. New real business will rise.

You saw the business thugs led by Muga pretending to even interview candidates.

My point is overall corporate taxes are punitive that's why businesses seek exemptions. Taxes and regulations is what's decimating and hampering businesses. A corporation is a legal entity independent of the individual so technically uhuru wasn't exempting himself. NCBA shouldn't have been given an exemption, more importantly the tax demand shouldn't be that punitive for any business which would negate the need for exemption.

I agree on reducing corporate taxes..30 percent is world highest...and don't collect a lot.We need to go to 15 percent.

Shareholders of company are known..if uhuru is the beneficial owner of ncba..abuse of office or conflict of interest arise
