You write here as if competence was the criteria used to appoint Murkomen to this docket.

His is managing the Ministry . If he gets good experts and advice. He should be able to steer the ministry well.
Remember this is the Ministry where you need to be astute .Just go back to the People who have been handling this Ministry since Kibaki came to power. Its not a talk show . One small decision and its hell bound.

Bit cryptic.
Explain.
I think all the 400 pilots should be fired.
KQ should began afresh.
It already dead - kenya gov just took over paying for it's loan.
Murkomen should kill it.
And then fix all ports nonsense.

Time for change. We have been doing the same nonsense.

Wrong approach to handling issues. KQ brings to Kenyan economy around 150 Billion Kshs of foreign exchange.
Employs thousands directly and indirectly , acts as catalyst to tourism and trade in Kenya and Africa as a whole and importantly as Kenyas Brand ambassador .
The only issues is the losses due to Aircraft leases and suppliers.
If Murkomen had away of dealing with the leases within a year the airline would be profitable.
But the way he is handling the situation now is wanting.
This docket is usually given to astute people. Murkomen needs alot of help from Ruto . As it stands the strike will go on until Ruto comes back . But then again perhaps its away of dealing with Uhuru . Will be interesting to see how it puns out. In 2016 one day of strike Uhuru called the pilots and management to state house and they agreed on several things.
If KQ goes down under Ruto , it will be a big weapon against his re-election come 2027.

The pilots are going on a baseless strike - because they are not raising welfare issues - but management issues.
They are part of the problem - together with leasing and whole of it.
I think it can be killed and new one started.
Ndii seem to favour a budget airline.
We need to kill KQ - and make JamboJet the real airline.
A real budget airline - invest in small regional africa wide budget airline.
Fly cheaply to 10 destinations in DRC, TZ, Malawi, Uganda, Somalia, South Sudan,
Just become the Ryanair or EasyJet for Africa.
We cannot continue sustaining it KQ and compete with Middle East.

Time to convert KQ to budget airline. Focus on JamboJet....use KQ experience to create subsidiaries in Africa...flying regionally like Matatus.
