They are literally trying to secure their objective while fleeing. It never works like that. They should have crushed Ukraine before they carve out those regions. Now Ukraine will reclaim those regions.
Njuri ncheke.... What was Russia's primary objective going into Ukraine? Has it been accomplished? That is a good starting point to end to this debate.

I tend to think initially Putin was misadvised that Ukrainians would rise against their government and topple it when Russia invaded, that's why I think the tactic he used to head straight to Kiev backfired. We wont know for sure now maybe many years later after declassification of intel on what really happened.
But main goal was topple the pro western government and install a pro russian one, that would be basic summary for me.

As usual Noway... busy rewriting history to sfit his fantasies. Did the Crimea join Russia or it was invaded and annexed?

Did the other Russian speaking regions around Odessa hold referedums appealing to join Russia?

Btw, let me inform you, when the USSR collapsed in 1991, Russia under Boris Yeltsin signed the agreement for the federation to be dissolved and the borders as per then be respected. Nobody disbuted the borders then and so why now?

Putins biggest mistake was accepting Baltic states to enter NATO. Second biggest mistake was when Yankuvich then President of Ukraine in 2013 asked for Military help as per international law to quell Maidan revolution he never obliged. Third was after Crimea joined Russia  :oand all Russian speaking regions all the way to Odessa :o wanted to join Russia he never supported it.
He is trying to rectify all that  . He will succeed but a big cost.

Russia still does have an edge. Putin can strike Kiev everytime he gets a hard on. He can take Odessa and reduce Ukraine to another land locked European country...this thing been over for a while. Mainstream media keeps pumping Ukraine with fake hope.

Anyone who still believes Russia is fighting Ukraine needs their heads examined. Nato is at war with Russia providing everything from weapons, satellite information for targeting and communication intercepts. Ukraine military is being commanded by Nato officers in Western Ukraine who are in turn receiving real time information from Poland and Ramstein airbase in Germany.  At this point Ukraine has a million men mobilized against 200k  Russian soldiers. Russian law bars deployment of conscripted soldiers from being deployed outside the borders of the country.  Once the four regions are officially annexed it frees Putin to deploy a  lot of manpower and that is where shit will hit the fan. So as you cheer Putins purported defeat in the western media, be sure to check independent sources too. Ukraine as we know it will never be the same again that is if it even exists by this time next year.  Biden has turned out to be a big fool here.  This war should have been stopped before it began through back channels as was the case during the cold war.

You can as well repeat your insha, without crying... The memory of appeasement that failed to stop World War II from taking place is still too fresh. The fool here is Putin thinking (without any preparation at all, except a finger on the nuclear button) would just roll into Ukraine and the world would just watch. Even as you wish bad things for Ukraine, it will be a viable Nation not only next year but so too in 2030 we will take our families to watch football on the grandest scale of all:

Continue your naive believe that Ukraine is winning.  As we speak they just lost four of their most productive regions and in the next months four more might be gone including Odessa and Kharkov.  Don't be fooled by the retreat up in Kharkov because it is way too close to the border and thus easier to overrun in the future. Smart folks starting with Kissinger and lately Musk are basically saying what everyone knows.  Eventually Putin will have his way and there is nothing we can do about it. Let's compare notes in a few months.

You seem to be the only one whi understands what is happening.
Once Biden loses midterm elections , it will be another Afghanistan , Ukraine will be left on its own.
Once Russia takes over Ukraine as it did with Romania in World War 2 . All those billions of weapons will be under their authority.  This is just the begining its not the end.

I told them this months ago.....The Kadudus were still buying in from Western Media...

Russia is winning in all fronts. Xerson , Zoprzjizjia had been captured earlier  Lugansk is gone , Donbass soon to go( Those are 4 Provinces) . Thats on the battle front. On the political scene , UK PM gone , Italy PM Gone more and more to go.

Dont belive western media hype.Actually most of them seem to have given up hyping Ukraine .
Do you have any connects telling you what is really happening in that part of the world or you watch CNN and make assumptions ?

Please remind me which month we are now since Russia launched it shock and awe blitzkrieg attack on ukraine 🐌🐌🐌
 :D
Russia has now lost 50,000 troops entire battalions wiped out and to be rebuilt from scratch the Russian bear has been poked in the ass or even testicles and they cant do a damn thing, Am yawning now

This was my prediction in April .How spot on I was. Expect referendums on below cities in the near future. And No Im not FSB(KGB) This is known info amongst Russians going back in early 2000s after the Orange revolution.

Pending cities are Odessa, Summy ,Kharkiv, Mykolaiv,  and Dnipropetrovsk

From my perspective Putins mistake was participating in the Minsk agreement at a time the whole east from Kharkov , Donbass to Odessa was politically pro Russia and specifically when they had encircled the Ukranian army in Donbass and defeated them. The request to let them free and accept a ceasefire was the beginning of the end of Russian influence in Ukraine.
Because what followed next was all pro Russian  media was banned and the media owners lefr to operate brainwashed Ukrainians one of the reason you have Zelenski a comedian becoming a President as he was sponsored by a Media Oligarch.
So to expect little or no resistance feom Ukraine is complete Hogwash taking in consideration NATO had been training and giving weapons to Ukraine since 2014 in addition majority of Ukrainian army had real battle experience from the Donbass war.  So the anology of Mayors surrendering is just an opinion. Putin knew what was happening in Ukraine and he knew Ukraine was going to start a fully fledged war in Donbass by March followed by Crimea  so he had to either stop one way or the other . He tried to negotiate with U.S. and NATO they shwoed him the middle finger so he decided to use War to make them listen.Only a day to the war did Bidden accept to concede to Russian propasal but on "principle"

Russian Military has avoided Civilian areas as much as possible, its the Azov Militia who have been using Hospitals , Kindergattens and Apartments to launch their attacks with counterattacks leading to causalties.
If They were targetting Civilians like that they would have rargeted Verkhnova Rada(Ukraine Parliament)  with cruse missiles as they are capable of launching from their territory and ships in White/Baltic and Black sea.

In regards to casualties you are spot on.
Finally I think Putin has eventually concluded this thing is for rhe long haul , so he is recruting more soldiers who now will be rotating and has decided to put all efforts in the East and South , with Lugansk ane Donestsk already liberated focus now will be on the other regions like Kherson, Odessa, Summy ,Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, Zaporizhzhia and Dnipropetrovsk
.

They are not even sure about the borders.

Zelenskyy was saying something along the lines that they don't care where Putin thinks Russia ends.  That their job is going after the Russians, killing them and restoring Ukraine's authority.

As Russia remains clueless against HIMARS, there are other modern weapons I never had a clue ...

Check out this monster looking anti-drone rifle from a NATO country .... when Russia was investing in Iranian drones, they didn't reckon the West already has figured out how to neutralize the UAVs

Noway you amaze.with your stubborness Russia is done for, nothing good coming out am analyzing all reprts available together with clips and satellite maps and I can tell you for sure Russia is on the backfoot am speaking as an independent military analyst, i haven't been following the war till this week when Ukraine claimed to recapture areas in the east and everything backs their claims of course with some exaggerated figures but overall accurate. Moscow military is clueless  however Ukraine should sue for peace they have limits to how far they can push Russia, their gains could be easily reversed

The Ukrainians seem pretty well trained and disciplined.  No wonder some folks(including Russians on the battlefield) are mistaking them for NATO.
