Pundit, do you think these charges of blatant criminality within IEBC makes it more or less likely that the SCORK will invalidate the elections? And if they do, do you think the same bunch will be allowed to conduct another election instead of facing prosecution? The crisis is being created and you guys have fallen right into it. uhuru's power is limited during the electoral process. ruto knew this and executed a civilian coup against the state. internal security consulted with stakeholders. it was agreed that uhuru needed to use his executive powers to stop chebukati. after deliberations uhuru asked he be given night to make the decision. he choose not to arrest chebukati and ca off the tally. it is only him at this point who knows rhe reasons. he may have consulted his inner circle and decided he didn't have the power to do so. I got this information from a second source that has very close ties within county commissioners group. uhuru is the one who let the coup happen to what end or why we don't know.

remember Alai on Friday before announcement making this tweet "uhuru has saved the day". that was what he was alluding to. everyone was waiting for uhuru to get the process stopped and elections annulled

How was Chebukati able to escape this kidnap attempt? who helped him? I also thought noor gubow saved the situation at bomas or was it otherwise?  This is very, very, dangerous what uhuru is doing.  I think ruto is being very measured. He is the president and he can't act like these guys. He has to be more responsible and hold the country together.
