Ruto is a Trump-like candidate i.e., isolating Kenya from the world. So many fell for the hustlers against the dynasties campaign. Much in the way of draining the swamp and bringing back coal to impoverished whites who turned up in numbers to vote.

You really can't compare the agendas between Azimio and Kenya Kwanza. KK's manifesto is a continuation of the same whereas Azimio is for a better tomorrow and what Kenya needs right now.

Azimio ran a sexy campaign spearheaded by a charismatic baba who's just declared war with a twinkle in his eye. But I think that by conceding in respect of democracy and not risk PEV, baba would gain more supporters in the long run. I suspect like Trump, Ruto's presidency will be short-lived.

People like self deceit. Ruto won simply because he managed to bag Mt Kenya.  Mt Kenya loathe Raila especially the women because of 2003 to 2007 politics.
Raila went with Martha thinking this could be a solution.
Simply put it . Raila was a bad candidate , if he would have supported someone else , They would have given  Ruto a run for their money.
