I am also not sure about corruption fight. Personally I favour horizontal fight against ALL CRIMES. That to me - mean investing in bottom up judiciary - 290 magistrate courts - 290 jails - in every const. Until we can hear and determine all cases in two or three months we are going nowhere.
So until we sort judiciary - this corruption fight is waste of saliva. To sort judiciary mean today if I arrested - I taken to court - my case is heard the same day like that Kanjo court my bro was once taken in - same day - you plead guilty - pay fine or go to jail. Or if you plead not guilty - then 1 week of discovery - 2nd week marathon hearing - 3rd week marathon hearing - 4th week verdict.
Now we can start to deal with corruption, fraud, abuse of office - systematically. You take someone to court now - even straight forward fraud case like Oscar sudi - 10yrs it still in court. Wakule case began in Kibaki regime. Case on average take 15yrs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
To fix our judiciary - mean MASSIVE INVESTMENT on Judges, Magistrates, Courts and Jails. I would triple their budget - from 17B to 50B. I would ask them to build courts in every sub-county - have high courts every county - have court of appeal every two counties - and ensure only serious cases get to supreme court.
When it come to Uhuru - after Nancy Gitau left - he has Mutahi Ngunyi and few conmen - telling him it still possible to win through all crazy schemes including rigging. Of course Nancy Gitau and anyone who knows Ruto knows it over for Uhuru and Raila.
State capture - That will be Ruto personal project - and he will do it - because he has to do.
The assumption is that a very corrupt ruto and gachagua will go after a very corrupt uhuru for the benefit of the public. When in Kenya has this ever happened? I remember skeptical of Ruto because of his own history of corruption and greed. The proof will be in the pudding. Kenyan voters always have hope and they've always been disapointed.
The other thing is that Uhuru is behaving as if he is not leaving office. What is he up to? In fact, knowing he is leaving and knowing his bad relationship with Ruto, wouldn't he put a project like northlands on hold? unless he knows something that the rest of us don't?
State capture will go nowhere cause anyone that sits on that committee will be under death threats including david ndii (you don't do things like that in kenya without 24/7 police protection)
