So far Ukraine Has lost Lugansk, Donetsk, Kherson,Zaporizhizjia. Oblasts(Provinces).
The more the war continues they will lose Mykolyaiv, Kirovgrad,Dnipropertovsk, Kharkiv,Summy, Cherniv and Poltava.

In 2014 they did a Genious move by signing Minsk deal which gave them more time to regroup, rearm and retrain.
If Zelensky had just accepted for Neutrality they would still be defacto leaders of Donbass. A big Miscalculation for them and Europe.

They only way to stop this war is escalating it.
NATO will think NUCLEAR
Otherwise the way I see - this will continue because Ukraine is getting arms supply - and Russia is fighting NATO already except it's proxy war.
At some point Russia will have to hit countries supporting Ukraine.
And Poland seem the 1st target if Russia want to escalate this.
That will see NATO and RUSSIA rushing to negotiation table.
Because a Nuclear War is not an option.

Otherwise this will continue for quite sometime.
Russia cannot accept defeat in Ukraine.
Ukraine have dogged in and are well armed by NATO even without a treaty.
