I don't miss constantly looking over my shoulder when I'm back home. Pickpockets, watu wa kunyonga, carjackers, many other ruffians scheming to harm, rob or defraud you. I come back to a safe middle class neighborhood with friendly people greeting you, thank goodness. Civility and class are inborn, choosing a life of crime is a choice nothing to do with poverty. Poor people are their own worst enemies, no one wants to invest in a crime ridden hood or country, police don't bother because everyone is a suspected jambazi, actual thugs move in because they know police won't venture in, a vicious cycle. I read West and Japan are safe as capital punishment has weeded out the scum from the gene pool. We need gallows by the thousands, just hang them be done with it. Make it public for good measure.

Only difference is they are stealing peanuts.  Maybe if they did it by the boatloads in a public office some here might admire and empathize with them.

Are you saying one can't become a billionaire from selling chicken alone?

You can.  It's just not what happened with hasola.  If that happened, he would have stuck to it and not joined siasa.  In another world without YK92, hasola and faruku would be the fellas pretending to be in distress and robbing good samaritans  :D.

Social media has shown Kenyans that you cannot make it in life without stealing from government. You steal from government then I steal from you at gunpoint..that's how it works.Next stop is judiciary. If you steal from government and you I steal from you then you send police to arrest me the judge will convict me to life sentence before the judge gives me life sentence I deal with him/her too..so the next victim of this chain will be judges in the coming years.
