Very, very sad. Life is but vapor bro. Pele, Kasavuli, the Pope and several more all went during that last week of December. Once you start seeing one's contemporaries dropping like flies it puts everything in perspective. This year has been a sobering one for me.

Of all the music on the continent, I think SA music is the most soulful and soothing. Even the Congolese don't come close. Funnily enough it's countries that suffered the most oppression that seem to produce the best music in the world. Examples USA (slavery) - black music. SA - Apartheid ; good music all round. Congo; Plunder, death and poverty; Rhumba/Lingala

My favourite by far was 3EB. These two songs ruled my tape deck in 1999.  Man where did those amazing days (90s college rock) go?
