Yes, election day they will be spinning theories, like they did in 2013, and 2017, about rigging. Dont listen to middle class. Listen to the majority who mostly have primary education - and their politics is quite primordial - tribal. This is why best propagandist are those able to dump down to the very basics. Ruto is quite gifted and his hustler nation propaganda has made it identify with majority of kenyans - who are poor, no educated, not sophisticated and see issues in black-white. Sonko is also quite gifted - he knows what majority people - who are poor - want. They dont want long english speeches. They want someone to assist them in their hustles.
Our village is very advance I would think - but in some families - in last 5yrs is when they had their first girl finish high school. Growing up I remember we were three families that could afford to educate their kids to high school level - including girls. Few families had girls going to high school - very few.
I will find you stats - but last I checked Kisii was leading with those with high school education with 34 percent - most counties were less than 10 percent.
When it come to those with post-high school education nationally it drop to 5-10 percent - those with degrees 2-3 percent.
Things are starting to change- almost every kid now expect to finish high school education - but it will take some more years before we see improvement of these dire stats.
I guess middle class kenyans will be in for a deep shock the same way sonko's win shocked them in Nairobi.
