This exact sentiment from my father.
Initially he had not much time for Ruto having hated KANU and all it's children
But in 2009 when Ruto was minister of Agriculture - he gave them appointment at 6 am
Took 10 minutes to solve problem that had been troubling folks for years.
KTDA was preventing folks from selling their tea wherever.
With that 10 minutes decision - our folks were now able to sell multinationals
KTDA tried to play rough - but Ruto phone call was enough - because he simply told them to read tea act and that enough riot act.
The locations approved were now able to be part of multinational outgrowers
And within 5yrs - wealth created in my village was staggering - almost everyone bought a car
Because locations not approved had to sell to them - and then they would sell at much higher price than stupid KTDA.
