There is a delusion about various tribes rising against the Luo. These are Luhyas, Mijikenda, Kamba, etc. You see the endless cheering of impending anti-Raila uprising cause Wanyonyi sijui nani. Obviously this is akin to speaking from one half of the tongue. The truth of course is the opposite: Kenyans are rising against Kikuyu-Kalenjin duocracy. The map shows Raila is top in 5 vs 2 counties.

Actually Ruto has been polling highs of 30s in Machakos in all opinion poll. You must remember that large part of Machakos is now cosmpolitan.

Ruto tried 2013 - they were doing 10 percent - that doubled to 25 in 2017.
This time round - Ruto has the window opened.
The next two months - is to open the door and eject Raila's ODM.

Coast, Gusii and Luhya remain stubbornly pro-Raila.. despite Ruto gazillion trips, handouts and promises. It called law of marginal returns - once everyone, their goat and their dog knows Ruto - it means his support long plateau'd. I bet you might hear some villager historically quip: na huyu Yesu, ni ndugu ya Ruto? You have national Ruto fatigue at injury time... very bad strategy.

And seal the deal.

Bottom up politics.

The most likely big change coming weeks is Luhya. Mdvd seem distant front-runner as running-mate - which obviously comes from Luhya. Expect hammering there about Luhya raw deal once Ruto unveil Gachagua skunk or wishy-washy, charmless, boringg Tharaka dwarf.

Ruto support is already well known - at Coast it come down UDA Sarai 6%. Mvryas and Jumwas long joined him since 2018 - there is no hidden support waiting to swell up. What you see is what you get - Kingi the beggar king brings nothing.

Azimio is tribal coalition - noone has forced Kalonzo or Karua to join. A Marchiaveli like Sonko sees clearly Pwani is Azimio zone - so he give UDA & kwekwe a wide berth.

Please there is no better or "winning" strategy until Aug - i see you still on that high horse
